Live LSAT Prep
Got questions?
- Does Blueprint register me for the LSAT?

- We wish we could, but that’s not allowed. You’ll need to register for the exam through LSAC’s website: (www.lsac.org). Keep in mind that there is a $139 registration fee. If you have any questions about this fee or about signing up for the LSAT, you can contact LSAC at 215.968.1393.

- What is included in the online resources?

- Your student page (also known as your myBlueprint account) offers a number of great resources including practice exam scoring and breakdowns, video, audio, and/or PDF explanations for every homework and practice exam question in the curriculum, as well as drills, quizzes, and links to helpful information about the LSAT and law school admissions. If you choose to purchase the video upgrade (available for $200 through the first week of your class), your online resources will also include all 16 of our high-def, fully-animated, totally entertaining video lessons. In all, the video upgrade provides you with over 60 hours of additional instruction, taught by Blueprint co-founders Matt Riley and Trent Teti. All this is available to you throughout the duration of your course. Needless to say, it's a pretty sweet deal.
- How long will I have access to my online resources?

- You will have access to your online resources for the duration of your course. This means that if you are signed up for a spring course to prepare you for the June 2012 LSAT, your online account will deactivate shortly after the June 2012 LSAT. This includes your access to the video upgrade (if you purchase this option).
- Can I extend access to my online resources?

- But of course! We maintain all of our students' accounts, so you can have your account reactivated or extend your online access at any time by contacting the office. The cost to extend online access is $200 per test administration.

- Is there a discount if I decide to take the course again?

- Yes, there is! If you enroll in one of our live courses as a retake student, the cost is $799 plus shipping with a new set of books. If you decide to enroll in our online course, the total cost is $599 plus shipping with a new set of books. Sometimes it is possible to use your old set of books, but we update our curriculum frequently so please call the office at 888-4BP-PREP to verify that your books would still correspond with the current courses.
- How do I receive the discounted rate?

- You can receive this retake discount online by clicking on the 'Enroll' button on our home page. You'll need to use your email that you've used with Blueprint in the past, as well as your password. You can also enroll over the phone at 888-4BP-PREP.
- Can I just purchase the textbooks?

- We do not sell our textbooks separately. The most affordable way to procure a set of textbooks is to purchase Blueprint: The Movie 2.0 as a new student ($799 plus the cost of shipping) or as a retake student ($599 plus the cost of shipping).
- Is there a deadline to enroll?

- There is no official deadline to enroll in one of our courses. However, we encourage you to sign up early for a couple reasons. First, our classes are very popular and sometimes fill up. Second, we do not ship your materials until after you enroll, and you definitely want to receive your materials before the course begins. We recommend enrolling at least two weeks prior to the start of your course.
- Can I reserve a seat in class?

- Yes. If you are unable to pay the full cost of your course upfront, you are more than welcome to pay a $250 non-refundable deposit to reserve your spot in class. Just keep in mind that you will not receive any course materials or access to your online account until we receive payment in full.
- Do you offer a payment plan?

- Yes, we do. Payment plans work best if you express your interest in taking a class as early as possible. You must first put down a $250 non-refundable deposit to reserve your seat in a class. After that, a Blueprint representative will work with you to schedule a personalized payment plan. Please keep in mind that the full balance of your course must be paid before you will be able to attend any class sessions, receive any materials, or gain access to your online resources.
- Are there any discounts available?

- Yes. Blueprint offers discounts to members of certain student groups and organizations, as well as to people who attend particular events, such as law fairs or LSAT presentations. For details on qualified student groups and/or upcoming events that would qualify you for a discount, please contact the office. We also offer a discount to military personnel as our way of saying thanks for your service. A copy of a valid military ID must be shown in order to apply the discount.
- Do you offer financial aid?

- Blueprint offers a limited amount of scholarships and tuition reduction for students who demonstrate financial need. Please view our financial aid page for more information, including submission deadlines.
- What is the refund policy?

- If you decide to withdraw from a Blueprint course, you must notify the Blueprint office no later than 10 business days prior to Practice Exam 1 or before your textbooks have been shipped, whichever comes first. If these conditions are met, you will be issued a refund in the form of a check, minus an administrative fee of $100.
- How do I receive my materials?

- Your materials will be shipped via FedEx two weeks prior to the start of class. If you enroll less than two weeks before your class begins, your books will be shipped to you on the next business day. Upon shipment you will receive a tracking number via email to help you monitor the package. A signature is required upon delivery, so please make sure there will be someone reliable to sign for your materials.
- Can I switch locations in the middle of class?

- Yes, as long as there is room in the course to which you'd like to transfer. If you want to begin the course in one location and switch to another, please contact the office and we will do our best to accommodate you.

- Why doesn't Blueprint offer a guarantee?

- There are two main guarantees in LSAT prep: the score increase and the satisfaction guarantee. The first is that your score will increase or you can continue to prep with the company. It doesn't take much acumen to see that this isn't much of a guarantee. Just familiarizing yourself with the LSAT by doing a few practice problems should be enough to increase your score by at least one point. And if you take a class and don't increase a point, it's fairly clear you've chosen the wrong class. Satisfaction guarantees are similarly flawed. If you're not satisfied with your score, then you can continue to work with the same company. But the problem is that you're continuing to work with the same company with whom you weren't satisfied.
We do expect our students to put in work outside of class, but if you attend class, put in time with your homework, and take advantage of the resources we offer, we believe that you can be part of our average 11 point practice exam score increase (or more!).
- How big are the classes?

- Class sizes vary greatly depending on their location and the time of year. Because of this, if you have a question regarding the size of a particular class, please contact the office. We will be happy to tell you the current number of students enrolled in the class as well as its projected size, based on previous years' enrollments.
- Can I attend a class to see what it's like?

- Prospective students are more than welcome to attend a Blueprint class. If you’re interested in scheduling a visit, please contact the office.
- Is there anything I should do before my first day of class?

- We've designed our course to take you from start (knowing little to nothing about the LSAT) to finish (rocking it out on test day), so studying before your first practice exam is not required. However, if you would like to start early, you can begin reading long, dense articles (of the kind in the New Yorker or the Economist) to practice your critical reading and information retention skills. Alternatively, you might consider purchasing our online course upgrade for $200 during enrollment, which will allow you access the online videos taught by Blueprint founders Trent Teti and Matt Riley. The office can arrange to ship your books early if you ask, so you can begin studying as soon as your books arrive.
- Is there a way to begin studying early if I want to?

- Other than reading dense articles, we recommend that students do not study before the class. This is because studying before the course typically serves only to reinforce poor techniques. Using a book from another company is an equally bad idea because the techniques you learn probably won't be compatible with the Blueprint course (and in our opinion will also be inferior!). To that end, the best way to begin studying early is to purchase the video upgrade option when you sign up for the course. This will allow you to have access to all of the lessons in video form, taught by Blueprint founders Matt Riley and Trent Teti. In addition to gaining unlimited viewing access to the online course for the duration of your classes, your books can be shipped early if you ask, rather than two weeks prior to the start of your class.
- How much time should I spend studying outside of class?

- Outside study time will vary from student to student. We usually recommend that students plan for 1-2 hours of homework for every hour you spend in the classroom. It sounds like a lot of work because, in all honesty, it is a lot of work. This is why we strongly recommend that students do not take the course until they are able to make the time commitment.
- How can I make up a missed class?

- All students are given free access to the video for lesson one, as well as one additional free lesson video of your choosing. Additional individual lesson videos may be purchased for $50 each, or you may purchase the entire online course for $200 during enrollment or for $250 after you've already enrolled. For students who have to miss multiple lessons, we strongly recommend purchasing the video upgrade.
- How can I make up a missed practice exam?

- Students may take practice exams on their own. Feel free to contact your class TA for instructions regarding the best way to simulate a proctored testing environment.
- Where can I go for help outside of class?

- Your first and greatest resource for help outside of class is your myBlueprint online account, which contains a video, audio, and/or PDF explanation for every homework and practice exam question in the Blueprint curriculum. That's right - every single question. If you're still stumped after utilizing the online explanations, another great option is 1 on 1 tutoring with a certified Blueprint tutor.
