Blueprint LSAT Preparation

''Blueprint kicks major LSAT ass...it's ridiculous...they teach you how to own the LSAT and take control of your own destiny...''

2005: A great year for LSAT prep

2005. The year when Saddam Hussein was put on trial, hurricane Katrina made the Superdome famous, and Lance Armstrong won his seventh Tour de France with just one testicle. Also the year that Blueprint founders Trent Teti, Matt Riley, Justin Capuano, and Jodi Triplett wrote the Blueprint LSAT prep course curriculum.

The evolution of an amazing LSAT course

When they wrote the Blueprint LSAT course, the Blueprint quartet used the most recent questions available whenever possible. They also resolved to update the curriculum at least once a year to stay current with today's LSAT. That decision has allowed Blueprint to maintain an amazing curriculum that consistently prepares its students to tackle the LSAT they're taking - not the LSAT from ten or twenty years ago. Below is a timeline of the Blueprint LSAT course and its evolution across the space time continuum.

Spring 2005:
Blueprint founders Trent Teti, Justin Capuano, Matt Riley and Jodi Triplett write the original Blueprint LSAT prep course (hurray!). Solar body UB313 is discovered. Solar system planet count: 10.

Summer 2005:
LSAT logical reasoning flowcharts are added to the books to give students a step-by-step understanding of how to tackle every question type. Hulk Hogan stars in Wrestlemania XXI (because clearly XX just wasn’t quite enough).

Spring 2006:
The LSAT games section is overhauled, with additional LSAT games explanations added. Tenth planet UB313 is renamed “Eris”, goddess of warfare, strife, and blonde Hilton hoteliers. Later that year Eris, along with long-time favorite Pluto will be demoted from planets to “dwarf planets”. Solar system planetary count: 8.

Spring 2007:
The reading comprehension section is updated to accommodate comparative reading passages and the new writing sample. Reading comprehension drills are added to the Blueprint LSAT prep course. Madonna rides songs such as Like a Virgin and Material Girl to become Forbes Magazine’s “Highest-Grossing Female Musician of 2007”. Later, she’ll make out with Britney Spears onstage at the VMAs but that little gem is still to come.

Summer 2007:
Blueprint LSAT lesson podcasts are added so students who missed a lesson can listen to it at home. One resourceful student realizes you can also use them to review lessons, too. Eureka! Flashcards are added so that students can study for the LSAT in the days before the exam by reviewing key information.

Spring 2008:
Logical reasoning podcasts are made to explain all homework questions from 2000, onward. Online drills are added to supplement the homework. “Pluto for Planethood” protest rally is held in Seattle. Number of people we surmise who show up at rally: 3.

Spring 2009:
Logical reasoning and LSAT games video explanations for homework questions are added. Hurray for digital media! Now Blueprint students can see BP founders Matt and Trent wearing makeup. But only lightly applied and strictly for on-camera purposes. Much less exciting but still of importance: drills to reinforce concepts from each lesson book are added to the LSAT online resources section as well.

Summer 2010:
Our prediction for the solar system planetary count of 2020: Mars will be found to actually be the soul of Chris Farley in Valhalla, bringing the final total to 7. Until Uranus blows up and takes out Saturn. Then we’ll be down to 5.
