How to Juggle Finals with June LSAT Prep
Finals. LSAT prep. Finals? LSAT prep? FINALS! LSAT PREP!? Have I accurately captured your approximate level of stress heading into finals and the LSAT home stretch? Good. Never fear, I’m here to help.
Or at least advise.
If you’re one of those intrepid folk who decided to study for the June LSAT while still in school, I’m sure you’re feeling the crunch. My advice is simple: schedule the hell out of yourself. An undertaking this massive requires you to regiment your lifestyle. Figure out how much time you realistically need to devote to both finals study and LSAT prep and find a way to cram both into every day while still leaving time to eat and a little time to relax.
And while we’re on the subject of relaxation, a little every now and then is vitally important.

Don’t Panic, But the June LSAT is One Month Away
Here’s a phrase that oughta make you shudder just a bit: The June LSAT is exactly one month away. Spooky, I know. Not as spooky as the inexplicable success of the Twilight Saga, but pretty damn close (it doesn’t get spookier than sparkly vampires).
What should a person such as yourself be doing right now? If you’re reading this during normal waking hours, then the answer is the following: studying. Of course, you could mix in the occasional meal or trip to the gym, but you need to put the schnoz to the grindstone.
Now is the time for you to firm up all those soft spots in your LSAT prep. Focus on the basics. Make sure your foundation is solid. You can’t have a nuanced understanding of the more obscure LSAT question types until you have a full understanding of the least obscure. Don’t worry about time. That can come in a couple weeks.

Early Registration Deadline for the June LSAT is Tomorrow
It doesn’t fully feel like LSAT prep season until the LSAC deadlines start to pass. The first deadline for the June LSAT was May 4 (the registration deadline for non-published LSAT test centers), but the critical LSAT deadlines still await us.
Kind of.
Tomorrow is May 8, and that is the final day to register for the June LSAT without paying a late fee. As a guaranteed first-ballot Procrastination Hall of Famer, I understand if you’ve waited this long to register. Unfortunately, if you still haven’t registered for the June LSAT you may have missed out on the best LSAT test center available. And if you wait any longer, you’re just going to bring on more stress than you need.

Before the Party, Try Our Cinco de Mayo LSAT Logic Game
Tomorrow is Cinco de Mayo. Contrary to what many perceive, the holiday is not Mexico’s independence day: it celebrates the defeat of the French at the battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. Cinco de Mayo is celebrated more widely in the United States than in Mexico, where it’s mainly celebrated near Puebla. Don’t let that stop you from partying, but consider augmenting your festivities with some Mole Poblano. In honor of Cinco de Mayo, here’s an LSAT logic game.
I’d recommend that you refrain from trying it the morning of May 6.
A travel club is planning a trip to Mexico. The club will visit at least three of the following seven states: Guerrero, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Michoacán, Nayarit, Oaxaca, and Puebla.

Do Your Part During LSAT Prep to Help Out the Planet
Yesterday was the 33rd annual Earth Day. Few ever consider the environmental costs of studying for and taking the LSAT: paper use, getting to and from LSAT class, increased electricity use from late night studying, etc. If you’re preparing for the June LSAT, here are some ways you can do your part to help out:
EARTH-FRIENDLY LSAT PREP TIP #1: Stop Bathing
Let’s face it: you’re barely leaving the house anyway. Why not take advantage and conserve water? You may well be able to save over 1,200 gallons between now and the June LSAT by forgoing showers. As an added bonus, when you take the June LSAT, your stench may depress the performance of the LSAT test takers around you, making for an easier curve and improving your LSAT score.*

What to Expect Out of Your LSAT Prep Class (No Foolin’)
Many of our Blueprint LSAT classes just started, or will be starting very soon. Taking an LSAT course is an important event in every growing pre-law student’s life, and people often don’t know what to expect. Will it be hard? Is there homework? Will there be snacks? Well, let me tell you.
Your LSAT class will start with an LSAT practice test, which you’ve probably already taken. It’s very important that you start your studies with an actual LSAT in this way. Doing this is a good way to acquaint yourself with the beast before you learn how to conquer it. And it’ll be fun!
April Fool’s. It’s actually going to be sort of horrible. The LSAT’s a hard test, and diving in not knowing what you’re doing will be memorable, to say the least.

How to Prep for Your June LSAT Prep
Thinking about the June LSAT? Wondering if it’s too early to start studying?
It is.
Classes start in March, and while a month of LSAT study time to get a head start may sound like a good idea, practicing before learning the proper approach can just reinforce bad habits and leave you worse off than not studying at all. Wait ‘till March; you’ll still have 3 months of class to study and prepare, and that’s more than enough time to learn the LSAT, and certainly more time than you should want to spend with the LSAT anyway.
But that doesn’t mean there aren’t other things that you can do in the meantime (like getting used to one of the LSAT’s secret weapons – the double negative).

Most Important Part of February LSAT Prep: Take Today Off
Put that LSAT practice test down, close your LSAT books, and wipe the LSAT dust from your eyes. With less than 24 hours to go until the February 2012 LSAT, study time is over. The past two months may have flown by in a dazed whirlwind of LSAT preparation, but game day fast approaches. You’ve prepared as much as possible, and any additional study today will simply be counterproductive, more likely to lead to burnout and LSAT apathy than improvement. At this point in the game, it’s most important that you enter LSAT test day refreshed and recharged – so instead of trying to cram in a few additional hours of study, take the day off.
That’s right. Today may be the first day that you have to actually force yourself not to study.

Predictions for the February 2012 LSAT
Just like that, the February LSAT is upon us. Rumors abound before each test administration, but there’s something especially dark and mysterious about the February test. It’s not released. Students get a score yet no explanation of how they fared. You know that empty feeling that you get when a girl doesn’t call you back after your first date? You thought it went well. You know she doesn’t agree. But you have no explanation for why. That’s the February LSAT.
In my circumstance, however, the February LSAT is an amazing gift. I get to make predictions about a test that will never see the light of day. If I predict that more than a handful of Logical Reasoning questions will investigate the relationship between kitty litter and global warming, no one can prove me wrong. If I claim that mapping games will make a triumphant return, any evidence to the contrary will never surface. I have never felt such freedom.
