Objection! The Top Three Silliest Lawsuits of 2011
Enough with the all too serious LSAT and law school advice of the past month. It’s time to strap in for some funny. And nothing says “holiday cheer” like a good ol’ frivolous lawsuit . . . or three. The depths to which people are willing to stoop in the name of entitlement never ceases to amaze, or appall. And with that, I give you three of the most frivolous lawsuits of 2011.
1. Man Sues Health Club for Substandard Complimentary Breakfast
Enter Richard Katz, Esq. That’s right — lawyers abuse the legal system in the names of themselves as well as their clients. Mr. Katz purchased a membership at a very, very expensive health club with the promise of free breakfast (in addition to gold-plated barbells and locker room butlers).

Spring Enrollments for Blueprint’s Live LSAT Course Now Open
Merry Spring-Enrollments-Are-Now-Open Day!
Although this time of year is always special, it’s an extra meaningful occasion this time around because starting in 2012, Blueprint LSAT Preparation is opening the doors to its live course in six new cities. As previously reported, we’re expanding to Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Miami and Seattle. Look at us go.
For several weeks, we’ve been hearing from students in those cities and elsewhere who have been itching to sign up. Starting today, you can scratch that itch. If you decide to sign up for a spring class today, though, be sure and do so by calling us before 6:30 p.m. PST. That’s when the new price for our course ($1,299) kicks in. The number is 888-4-BP-PREP if you have a phone in your hand right now (you know you do).

Blueprint Adds Six New Cities for LSAT Prep
Here we go again.
As you might recall, Blueprint LSAT Preparation recently spread its LSAT love by opening classes in Austin, Boston, Philadelphia, Phoenix and Washington DC. It was a big step forward in bringing LSAT enlightenment to the writhing mass of pre-law humanity, and it went so well we decided to do it again.
Starting this spring, just in time for the June 2012 LSAT, Blueprint will open the doors to live courses in (drumroll, please) Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Miami and Seattle. Sorry, Antarctica. We’ll get you next time.
That brings our live course tally to 24 locations — 24 of the coolest and LSAT-iest cities in the United States.

Last Chance to Sign Up for the June 2011 LSAT
If you’re into waiting until the last minute to do really important things, then hey, this post is for you. Today is the absolute last day to guarantee registration for the June 2011 LSAT. If you don’t sign up today, these dreadful things could happen to you in quick succession:
1. Don’t take the LSAT.
2. …
3. Actually, your life will be pretty much OK.
But if you’re planning on having your application among the first submitted to law schools in the fall, you’d better sign up for the June LSAT today. Over and out.

Shiny New Withdrawal Policy for the LSAT
For all of you who have been drawing fat red X’s on your unicorn-themed calendars, crying deep, silent sobs into your throw pillows, and worrying, always worrying that you won’t be ready for the LSAT on D-Day…good news! At some point in the last couple of weeks, LSAC changed its withdrawal policy for the LSAT, meaning that you can now wait until the day before the LSAT to decide whether or not to take the test.
The big thing about this policy is that if you choose to withdraw up to the day before the LSAT, nothing will show up on your record.

New LSAT Regulation: A Passport-style Photo
On June 6th, before actually taking the LSAT, you’ll be required to jump through a bunch of administrative hoops. You’ll have to check in, wait to be assigned to a room, and then sit around for what will seem like hours as you’re read long-winded instructions and regulations. Because of this, the LSAT doesn’t actually begin until an hour or more after the 12:30 reporting time. One of the many delights of checking in has always been getting fingerprinted like some sort of common bank-account opener.
But no more. Starting this year, you’ll have to bring a photo instead. Yes, really- one more thing to remember. According to LSAC’s website:
Introducing Blueprint’s New LSAT Website
Hello everyone out there in LSAT land.
The folks over at Blueprint have an exciting announcement: the unveiling of their new and improved web site. Why should you care? First, any excuse to take a few minutes away from LSAT study is a good thing. Second, the site is much more attractive and easier to navigate. Third, there’s a fair amount of lime-colored accenting going on that should be explored.
So head on over and check it out!
How the LSAT is Like a Night at the Oscars
How the LSAT is like a night at the Oscars.
The Oscars were on Sunday, and if you’re like me then you were forced to sit through oohs and ahhhs over Mila Kunis’s lilac dress. Yes, I used the word lilac. So as my girlfriend was rating Anne Hathaway’s twelfth dress of the night, I cast about for anything else to think about. So here it is, borne out of my job as an LSAT instructor and my inability to get out of boyfriend Oscar duty: 10 ways the LSAT is like the academy awards.
I know, I know, there are ways that they differ. No testing center is going to roll out the red carpet, and you won’t be wearing Vera or Gucci (unless they have a line of sweatpants of which I’m not aware). Also, cameras aren’t allowed. However, there are similarities, and not just because Alec Baldwin should clearly be the host/proctor.

Blueprint LSAT Prep is expanding to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
This spring, Blueprint bring its LSAT love to Philadelphia, PA home to the liberty bell, NFL teams that place second in the superbowl (it was a close game), and the world’s best sandwich, the cheesesteak.
The Blueprint Philadelphia LSAT class will be located in Houston Hall on the University of Pennsylvania campus, which makes it an easy commute for Upenn, Temple University, and Drexel students as well as denizens of the greater Philadelphia area.

Blueprint LSAT Prep Expanding to Boston for the June 2011 LSAT
This spring, Blueprint will begin bringing its LSAT tutelage to Boston, MA, home of the Red Sox and thousands of drunken Irishmen.
Blueprint’s LSAT class will be located on the Boston University Campus, which makes it convenient for not only BU students, but also Harvard, Tufts, Northeastern and Boston College students. The class will be taught by LSAT master Adam Unger, who travels north from Florida to bring his 174 LSAT score and tremendous teaching abilities to bear on the LSAT students of Boston.
