October 2013 LSAT – The Time to Start is Now

BPPalex-lsat-blog-oct-2013-lsat
If you’re going to take the October 2013 LSAT, now is the time to start forming your plan of attack. If you’re going to take a prep course, most of them (including Blueprint’s) will start sometime this month. In other words, it’s time to sign up…now.

Secondly, you should pick a test center as soon as possible. While the deadline for registration is a ways off, the test center that you want may fill up fast. If you don’t get a test center close to home, you’ll likely end up having to sleep in a hotel room the night before the exam and eat a less-than-satisfying breakfast the morning of. In addition, failing to book your desired test center will make it much more difficult for you to do a practice run of your test day activities, and doing so will require a lot more driving.

If you are taking the test for the first time in October and are still attending college, be aware of the time crunch you will face once your classes start back up in August and September. If you sign up for a prep course with an elongated schedule (i.e. one that starts earlier), you will be in much better stead. Rather than learning a bunch of new concepts at a fast pace in September, you’ll be fine-tuning after having the basics down pat. On the LSAT, as with many things, fortune favors the prepared.

Just as a final reminder, follow this link to find a list of other LSAT-relevant dates. It is important for you to know the last day to change test centers, the last day to withdraw without losing all your money, and the last to withdraw without a refund. It is also important to know the proper procedures for all these tasks should you choose exercise the above options. Links to all that good stuff can be found on the same page. Happy hunting!

Just enrolled in the Blue Print Online course. With only 76 more days left before the big exam, I am extremely nervous because I did not allow myself 3 full months to prep. But at this point all I can do is start from here…10 weeks of dedicated studying in the evenings after work.

That’s still plenty of time to learn the ins and outs of the exam, Patrice. You’ll get ‘er. Best of luck!
