Most Important Part of February LSAT Prep: Take Today Off
Put that LSAT practice test down, close your LSAT books, and wipe the LSAT dust from your eyes. With less than 24 hours to go until the February 2012 LSAT, study time is over. The past two months may have flown by in a dazed whirlwind of LSAT preparation, but game day fast approaches. You’ve prepared as much as possible, and any additional study today will simply be counterproductive, more likely to lead to burnout and LSAT apathy than improvement. At this point in the game, it’s most important that you enter LSAT test day refreshed and recharged – so instead of trying to cram in a few additional hours of study, take the day off.
That’s right. Today may be the first day that you have to actually force yourself not to study.

February 2012 LSAT Withdraw Deadline is Tomorrow
Ahhh, late withdrawal. The cause of many an unwanted pregnancy. Wait. Wrong blog. Was I supposed to take a left at Albuquerque? Anyway, moving right along…
Ahhh, late withdrawal. The cause of many a lost LSAT registration fee (there, that’s better). That’s right kids, your last chance to shirk February LSAT test day draws nigh (as in, tomorrow). But should you take it (your chance, that is)?
As with all matters law, it depends. As those of you who read the second paragraph may have noticed, late LSAT withdrawal means total forfeiture of your registration fee. So you have to be okay with throwing away that cash before you start asking yourself any other questions.

Predictions for the February 2012 LSAT
Just like that, the February LSAT is upon us. Rumors abound before each test administration, but there’s something especially dark and mysterious about the February test. It’s not released. Students get a score yet no explanation of how they fared. You know that empty feeling that you get when a girl doesn’t call you back after your first date? You thought it went well. You know she doesn’t agree. But you have no explanation for why. That’s the February LSAT.
In my circumstance, however, the February LSAT is an amazing gift. I get to make predictions about a test that will never see the light of day. If I predict that more than a handful of Logical Reasoning questions will investigate the relationship between kitty litter and global warming, no one can prove me wrong. If I claim that mapping games will make a triumphant return, any evidence to the contrary will never surface. I have never felt such freedom.

Maintain Your Study Habits in the Final Week Before the LSAT
Today is Monday. The February 2012 LSAT is Saturday. The fateful day is nearly upon us. You’ll only see five more sunrises before it’s time to take what will possibly be the most momentous test of your academic career. Which is exciting! All of this is almost behind you.
But you have to keep your LSAT study habits in place in this final week.
Keep Taking LSAT Practice Tests, But Don’t Kill Yourself – At this point you’ve been preparing for a long time, and have certainly learned a whole lot. But you have to keep taking tests to keep refining and retaining those skills. That being said, don’t overdo it. This last week should actually be a bit less intense than the last couple months. You want to be sort of winding down and preventing burnout.

February LSAT Prep Comes Down to This Final Week
The February LSAT is almost upon us: one week is all that’s left to study and prepare. Are you ready? Are you nervous? More importantly, are you eager to be done with the LSAT once and for all?
Now don’t get too excited; it’s still eight days and four hours away, and everything hangs on these last eight days. This may be the most important week in your entire LSAT studies; how you spend it will determine if you crush the LSAT or if you get crushed. Here’s your guide for making sure next Saturday culminates in celebration, not catastrophe (either way ending with copious amounts of alcohol).
This weekend needs to include a complete dry run day. That’s right, it’s game time. Take a full practice exam in the morning, and treat it like the real thing. This is your chance to set your game day routine – so no drinking, staying up late watching reruns of Jersey Shore the night before.

Down! Set! LSAT Logical Fallacies at the Super Bowl! Hike!
Super Bowl XLVI, also known as “Super Bowl Extra Large Six,” is a mere three days away. You have exactly that much time to fly to Las Vegas and lay down your savings on the Giants, the Patriots, the over, the under, or whether or not Madonna kisses Gisele Bündchen during the halftime show.
By this time next week, the big game will be a thing of the past and the February LSAT will once again engulf your concentration. But there’s no reason we can’t tie the two subjects together.
So throw on your jersey, huddle around, and read these five Super Bowl-themed logical fallacies.
HUT! HUT! HIKE!

Believe These February LSAT Conspiracy Theories (Or Else)
After you take the February LSAT in twelve days you’ll never get to see your test again. With other LSATs you get to comb through the test, reliving all your little mistakes. But the February LSAT is non-disclosed. This can actually something of a blessing, as once the test is over, it’s over. But why should the February LSAT be the only non-disclosed test? LSAC says it’s for internal research purposes, and so that they have extra questions for LSAT-related emergencies. But what’s the real reason? What are they trying to hide? Maybe the February LSAT…
Isn’t actually an LSAT! Relatively few people take the LSAT, so they could probably get away with just throwing in an old GMAT or SAT, right?

Time to Hunker Down if it’s Your Third LSAT in Two Years
Are you ready for a slew of clichés? Good, because here they come.
It’s crunch time.
It’s the bottom of the ninth.
It’s the last two minutes of the fourth quarter.
This one’s for all the marbles.
The whole enchilada.
Hopefully you’ve gotten the point by now. What the crap am I talking about, though?
Well, for some folks out there, this is the last LSAT they’ll be able to take for a while.

Make Sure You Know All These February LSAT Deadlines
For those of you planning to take the February LSAT next month, listen up because today is an important day. It’s the last chance you have to register if you have not done so already – so if you don’t sign up by 11:59pm tonight, you’ll have to wait until June for your chance to tackle the LSAT.
Today is also the deadline to change your LSAT test center or push back your LSAT test date. Well, kinda. It’s the deadline for mail (snail that is), phone, or fax — so those of you who don’t know what a computer is, need to break out your typewriter and parchment and find some equestrianly inclined fellow to deliver your letter to the LSAC. Just make sure it’s postmarked today. For everyone else, especially those of you reading this blog online, you have until this Sunday, January 22, to change your test center or test date online at LSAC.org.
