Final June LSAT Registration Deadline Today: Are You Ready?
You must register through the LSAC’s website or by phone by midnight tonight if you want to take the June LSAT. If you can come up with the correct diagram* for the contrapositive of the last sentence, you might be in good shape for the June LSAT, but there are some other skills you should have learned by now, as well.
What You Should Know if You’re Ready for the June LSAT
Your best practice LSAT score is still ahead of you. We still have three and a half weeks of prep time for the June LSAT. So, you shouldn’t let your current practice LSAT scores determine whether or not you’re ready to merely register for the June LSAT. At this point you’re probably still struggling with timing. If your accuracy is pretty high (the ratio of correct answer choices to questions attempted), you’re going to enjoy a pretty sizable LSAT score improvement once you get your timing down.

Beat Today’s June LSAT Early Registration Deadline
If you’re planning to take the June LSAT but you haven’t registered for it yet, stop reading and go register through LSAC right now. Anyone who registers for the June LSAT after 11:59 p.m. will have to pay a $69 late fee. That’s like letting LSAC steal 260 chicken nuggets from you.
For the June LSAT Fence-Sitters
Not sure you want to take the June LSAT? Well, here are some things you have to think about:
First, the June LSAT is the only test administration offered at 12:30 p.m., the rest are offered at 8:30 a.m. So, if you’re not a morning person the June LSAT is for you.
Second, getting the LSAT out of the way by June will give you plenty of time to focus on getting some awesome recommendation letters and putting together a sweet personal statement.

A Guide to Blueprint Prep-Area June LSAT Testing Centers
As you know, the LSAT is a huge deal. It consists of nothing more than pencil and paper, but your performance on LSAT test day could very well determine your entire legal career. Therefore, there’s a lot of tension on these days. The last thing you need is some sort of distraction with the LSAT testing center room.
Scroll through the comments any of our LSAT blog’s past LSAT test day instant recaps, and you’ll find, unfortunately, that distractions are rampant in LSAT testing centers. Oftentimes it’s an annoying or inexperienced proctor. Sometimes it’s the chairs they put you in. Either way, it’s not uncommon for months of intense LSAT prep to go to waste because LSAC can’t consistently maintain their LSAT testing centers. And there are a lot of LSAT testing centers.

Act Fast or Risk Being Waitlisted at a June LSAT Test Center
Over the last couple years, there’s been a lot of talk about how quickly the population of LSAT test-takers has declined. Despite all that, many aspiring law students are finding that their LSAT test centers of choice are already full for the June LSAT. Is there going to be a rebound in the LSAT test-taking population, or has LSAC adjusted to the trend by making fewer seats available? If you’re locked out of the LSAT, it doesn’t really matter what the cause is.
What can you do about this? If there is, in fact, an LSAT test center open within 100 miles of your domicile, you get two choices: you can take what LSAC offers you or you can hold off on registering.
If you decide you don’t want to take the exam at some distant LSAT test center, it’s possible that if you check back later something closer will open up.

Add Points to Your LSAT Score by Chewing Gum: Study
A recent study found a correlation between chewing gum consumption and test performance, and concluded that mastication-induced arousal causes improved performance — especially in the latter stages of a sustained task along the lines of, oh, say, an LSAT section.
Before any LSAT students shout that there’s a causal flaw, note that the study eliminated some alternate causes. The researchers split the subjects into a masticating group and a control group, which argues against any potential reversal of cause and effect. In other words, it seems unlikely that this is all because people who are better at tests like to chew gum. In a previous study, the subjects achieved the same benefits from sugar-free gum, so it doesn’t appear to be a case of a simple sugar high.

LSAC Adds Abstract Reasoning (Math) Section to the LSAT
Well, it had to happen sooner or later. The LSAT is undergoing its first really major change since 1991. LSAC just announced that starting on the June LSAT, it’ll be adding an Abstract Reasoning section to the test.
Also known as math.
This sucks. We know. A lot of people will be complaining that math has nothing to do with law school (but some would say the same thing about logic games). LSAC adding math to the LSAT actually isn’t the most terrible thing in the world; after all, you already have a head start, since you studied math for a good twelve or so years of your life. With LSAT Logic Games you were starting from square one.

LSAC Releasing February LSAT Scores Today, On Schedule
LSAT score release day is always stressful. The uncertainty. The waiting. The drinking.
Right on schedule, LSAC is releasing February LSAT scores today. I always feel like February LSAT score release day is even more stressful than the other LSAT score release days. With every other LSAT administration, you can go back over your test, see what went wrong, and beat yourself up for those stupid mistakes. Demoralizing? Yes. But not nearly as stressful as just getting a number and forever wondering what went wrong.
I’ve got a few more of you drinking now, don’t I?
