LSAC Releasing February LSAT Scores Today, On Schedule

LSAT score release day is always stressful. The uncertainty. The waiting. The drinking.

Right on schedule, LSAC is releasing February LSAT scores today. I always feel like February LSAT score release day is even more stressful than the other LSAT score release days. With every other LSAT administration, you can go back over your test, see what went wrong, and beat yourself up for those stupid mistakes. Demoralizing? Yes. But not nearly as stressful as just getting a number and forever wondering what went wrong.

I’ve got a few more of you drinking now, don’t I?

The February LSAT is a weird beast, so the advice I give to those receiving their February LSAT scores today is also going to be a bit wonky. Read Entire Article…

Confidence in Your December LSAT Score Waning? No Sweat

The wait for an LSAT score can seem interminable. If you took the December LSAT, you’re in the thick of it right now. To make matters worse, your perception of your LSAT score may be sinking like a certain early-20th-century ocean liner, only without a soundtrack provided by Céline Dion. Losing confidence in your LSAT score is a perfectly normal, if disconcerting, phenomenon. Not unlike Miss Dion.

This all happens because you remember enough about the LSAT to sow doubt in your mind about your performance. On the other hand, it’s very hard to remember enough about the LSAT to reassure yourself about the answers to any LSAT questions. You’re also more likely to remember things about the harder questions, the ones you weren’t sure about, than about the easy ones.

December 2012 LSAT Blog Carnival

If there’s one common feeling about the December LSAT that is floating around the internet, it is that the exam seemed easier than the October LSAT. It’s hard to tell if that really was the case, and contrary to popular belief, the LSAT curve will not be a clear indication.

Nonetheless, people have had plenty to say about the December LSAT. To see what I mean, check out the comments in our December LSAT Instant Recap and December LSAT Morning Cometh. But that’s not the only place where people are talking about the December LSAT.

Hop on the December 2012 LSAT Blog Carnival and let’s ride around the interwebs to check out the chatter:

October 2012 LSAT Blog Carnival

The October LSAT is in the books, and reactions have been mixed. It was either the hardest LSAT you’ve ever taken, or the easiest. You’ll have to wait for your LSAT score to find out for sure.

We’ve got a fantastic comments thread going down on our October LSAT Instant Recap, written by Blueprint LSAT Prep’s own Colin Elzie — who took his third career LSAT despite coming down with mono.

Blueprint LSAT Prep’s Matt Shinners followed that up with yesterday’s October LSAT Morning Cometh post, which takes a look at the exam 24 hours after its completion. Usually LSAT test-takers feel much different about the LSAT after they’ve had a night’s rest to think about it.

Another way to gauge how people are feeling about the October LSAT is to take a stroll around the blogosphere.

October 2012 LSAT Morning Cometh

It’s October 7, 2012, which means another LSAT has passed us by. When you’ve been working in this business this long, it’s how you mark the passing of the years.

I talked with a number of students about the exam yesterday. What was remarkable was everyone thought it was pretty easy, except for the section on which they’d been scoring the highest. So those who were relying on RC to prop up their score invariably commented on the difficulty of that section, for example. And the students who were pretty standardized throughout the exam felt that LR was the hardest section, which is par for the course – if there’s no stand-out difficult section, you tend to remember the LR questions that were tricky.

October 2012 LSAT Instant Recap

I just walked home after taking the third LSAT of my life. If you’re reading this, you likely just took the exact same exam. Congratulations to all of us, my friends, and thank God it’s over.

My experience was interesting, to say the least. I’m currently in the middle of a bout with mono, and haven’t eaten any solid food in a few days. Also, while we at Blueprint LSAT Prep always recommend getting a good night’s sleep before the test, I foolishly spent all of last night fighting off a fever and running to the bathroom. Needless to say, I don’t think I pulled a 180. C’est la vie.

But enough about me, let’s talk about the October LSAT.

The Morning Cometh: June 2012 LSAT Aftermath

Once again, a Law School Admission Test has come and gone. The June 2012 LSAT will never come again, and now comes the dreaded period of waiting for your score. So what are people saying about the test?

We’ve heard back from a lot of students, and it seems like the difficulty may have been pretty standard. Some thought it was hard, but a pretty equal number thought it was easy, and most people seem to think that it fell somewhere in the middle. So you shouldn’t be too surprised if it turns out that the curve was neither particularly forgiving nor damning. Read Entire Article…

June 2012 LSAT Instant Recap

Summer starts a week early for many of you this year.

The Solstice is next Wednesday, the 20th, but that magical moment when the proctor calls time on the last section will feel just like when the school bell rung on the last day of fifth grade.

While you don a sun dress and head to the park or beach (and look slightly like a crazy person, as the exam won’t be over until the evening), however, we here at Most Strongly Supported will be compiling information on the LSAT and commenting on your reports!

So what did you think of the exam? Hard? Easy? One killer logic game? Experimental in the writing section this time? Please post below, but remember that all comments will be moderated to enforce the LSAC’s prohibition on specific content. Read Entire Article…

February 2012 LSAT Scores Released Today

At the buzzer…yes!

The mysterious, all-powerful beings behind the curtain at LSAC released the February 2012 LSAT scores today (about 10 minutes ago, in fact) — roughly 24 hours before their estimated release date. So wipe that sweat from your brow, LSAT students, and check your email and LSAC account, because although it came down to the wire, you can finally see how you did. But remember: LSAC sends out LSAT scores in random waves instead of all at once, so it takes several hours throughout the day for all LSAT scores to find their homes. Don’t try to convince yourself it isn’t random, either — as if scores are sent from highest to lowest. It’s. All. Random.

As you know, the February LSAT is undisclosed. So we won’t be able to help you out regarding the February 2012 LSAT curve.
