Dylan
LSAT Score: 179
Education: Yale University, BA Philosophy
Dylan attended Yale, where he represented the university's debate team and became the second person ever to be both a national debate champion and North American debate champion, and the only American undergrad to win Cambridge University's invitational tournament. He also found time to study philosophy; upon graduation, he realized the local philosophy factory wasn't hiring, and found work as a used car salesman, an online poker pro, and an MCAT instructor. Before long, Dylan found his true passion: teaching the LSAT. Dylan has taught countless one-on-one tutoring students and 50 LSAT courses with Blueprint since 2011, helping his students understand the LSAT, improve their score, and attend law school. Dylan believes strongly in using anticipation to find that right answer. He believes that putting the work in early on questions pays off dividends later on. He also believes strongly in using his dog Spaghetti as an example whenever possible, to help clarify difficult concepts on this exam. Fun Facts: In addition to asking him about his LSAT hacks, you can ask Dylan about cooking hacks he picked up as a professional cook. In fact, Dylan has never had a “normal” desk job: he’s been a professional gambler, used car salesman, cook, and longtime teacher.See more

Gene
LSAT Score: 176
Education: University of Maryland, BA Communications
Gene is a veteran instructor who fell in love with the LSAT almost 20 years ago and has helped thousands of students reach their goals ever since! Before getting into the wacky zany world of law school test preparation, Gene produced morning radio in NYC, did crank calls for 600 radio stations, and produced stand-up comedy shows at the Improv and New York Comedy Club. He parlayed this experience into his mantra of "Make the LSAT fun!" that fits the Blueprint ethos quite nicely, even though he's still downtrodden about the loss of Logic Games. When he's not teaching the LSAT, Gene enjoys spending time with his two daughters, playing electric guitar, keeping his basketball skills sharp, and finally took up pickleball to see what all the hype was about. Fun facts: Gene speaks fluent Russian, used to play rhythm guitar in a Metallica cover band, and once snuck into the White House Correspondents Dinner.See more

Sam
LSAT Score: 174
Education: Pepperdine Caruso School of Law, JD, University of California, Los Angeles, BA Economics
Sam has been an instructor and tutor with Blueprint since March 2011 — albeit with a brief sojourn to earn a J.D. at Pepperdine Law. His journey to becoming one of Blueprint LSAT's most experienced instructors and tutors began in the scenic metropolis of Stockton, CA. Sam begrudgingly moved to Los Angeles for college, where he graduated from UCLA with a BA in Economics. Ever since, he has instructed students of all ages in a wide range of subjects, particularly math. In fact, Sam brings over 10 years of teaching experience to the field he enjoys most: the LSAT. Sam's love of teaching and tutoring the LSAT stems from his desire to see others succeed. He takes great joy in helping people with little or no familiarity with the LSAT develop such a thorough understanding of the test that their scores skyrocket. He also understands the fears and anxieties many people have about test-taking and law school admissions; handling and overcoming those fears are part of many of his favorite success stories. With a decade of experience in LSAT Prep, he has thoroughly enjoyed seeing his students thrive in law school and their legal careers. Fun Facts: Sam splits his spare time between visiting the beach and poring over sports statistics. His latest obsession is attempting to project hitting statistics for the upcoming baseball season. He recognizes that this in no way makes up for his lack of physical coordination.See more

Caroline
LSAT Score: 177
Education: Wake Forest University, BA Philosophy and Russian Language
As a philosophy major and bioethics minor at Wake Forest, Caroline has spent years exploring how people think, reason, and make decisions. Although these skills came in handy while tackling the LSAT, it was thanks to Blueprint that this alum raised her score 25 points from an original diagnostic of 152 to an official score of 177. Having returned as a tutor and instructor while still completing her undergraduate degree, Caroline knows first hand what it’s like to balance classes, applications, jobs, and test prep. That empathy shapes her tutoring style: patient, encouraging, and grounded in a belief that every student can improve with the right approach. Caroline is pursuing her master’s in bioethics and plans to attend law school shortly after, with the goal of working in healthcare law to ensure that ethical principles guide policy and patient care. She loves serving others, having volunteered over 1,000 hours at free healthcare clinics in Winston-Salem and dedicating her time to mentoring at a local high school with Young Life. Caroline views teaching the LSAT as another form of service, helping students to reach their full potential and setting them up to achieve their dreams! Fun Fact: Caroline is on the hunt for the best Korean food on the East Coast but hasn’t explored options farther north than Pennsylvania. Her current podium spots go to Charlotte, Durham, and Philadelphia, but she’s always searching for contenders!See more

Gerry
LSAT Score: 173
Education: Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, JD, Loyola Marymount University, BA Philosophy
Upon graduating from college, Gerry decided that spending his time avoiding growing up was far more desirable than any other option. After working as a touring musician, he then decided to spend time with people of a similar maturity level and became an elementary school teacher. One day, on a casual bike ride (from San Francisco to Los Angeles), Gerry decided that taking the LSAT sounded like a fun idea. He scored a 173, and soon joined Blueprint’s team of instructors and tutors. Gerry’s time teaching elementary school children and touring with temperamental musicians instilled a lot of patience in Gerry, making Gerry's teaching style laid back and empathetic. He enjoys incorporating anecdotes to help his students stay entertained and more vividly remember LSAT concepts. Gerry graduated from Northwestern Law cum laude in 2018 and has worked in commercial litigation. Gerry now splits his time teaching the LSAT, recording music, and taking the occasionally epiphanic bike ride through L.A. Fun Facts: Substituting quality for quantity, Gerry has learned to "fake it pretty well" on over 10 instruments and has performed with musicians ranging from Willie Nelson to Howie D (the guy from the Backstreet Boys with a ponytail).See more

Madelyn
LSAT Score: 172
Education: University of California, Santa Barbara, BA Communication, UCLA, JD
Madelyn graduated summa cum laude from UCSB in 2022, studying Communication with minors in Professional Writing and Technology Management. While she loved living right next to the beach, she traded the ocean for skyscrapers after graduation. She first worked in sales in San Francisco before ultimately moving to Los Angeles for law school. Now, she is a current law student at UCLA. A Blueprint alumna herself, Madelyn firmly believes in giving back to the communities that helped her get to where she is now. That's why her free time is full of teaching Blueprint classes, coaching her college's mock trial team, and volunteering with her high school's speech and debate team. Although the awards she earned in these activities were great, they are not her fondest memories. Rather, the most important things she learned were empathy, teamwork, and diligence -- qualities that now define her instruction. She shows up to each class with the mentality that if she could earn a 20 point increase by taking Blueprint's Live Course, each of her students can too. She hopes to learn with you soon! Fun Facts: Madelyn can name any Taylor Swift song in under 3 seconds. She also named her cat after LeBron James. Her interests are all over the place. See more

Chris
LSAT Score: 171
Education: Loyola Law School, JD, California State University, Fullerton, BA Communications (Journalism)
Chris is a veteran Blueprint instructor and tutor who has helped hundreds of students improve their LSAT scores since 2015. Before becoming one of Blueprint's most sought-after tutors and instructors, Chris took a unique route to the world of law and law school admissions tests. After graduating Cal State Fullerton, Chris spent three years working as a music journalist, interviewing the likes of Outkast, Jane's Addiction, and Weird Al. Chris eventually decided to switch things up and pursue a legal career. Chris graduated from Loyola Law School in 2006 and became a well-respected litigator, recognized by Super Lawyers' Rising Stars multiple times before opening his own legal practice in 2015. If all that wasn’t enough, Chris decided to start teaching the LSAT too, and has been one of Blueprint’s busiest instructors over the past five years. Chris’s experience with diverse personalities — from eccentric rock stars to stodgy judges — gave Chris the patience and persistence to help anyone studying the LSAT. When not teaching the LSAT or playing with his kids, Chris enjoys strumming '90s emo songs on his guitar, cheering on the LA Galaxy, or watching high-brow television with his wife like Big Brother or Bachelor in Paradise. Fun Facts: Chris was recognized by Super Lawyers' Rising Stars list in 2009, 2013, 2014, and 2017.See more

Nicholas
LSAT Score: 178
Education: Boston College, BA Philosophy
Nick attended Boston College, studying Philosophy and receiving the Bapst Philosophy prize. Alongside the award he received the following advice: “Philosophy opens up two careers, Teaching or Law.” In a moment of insight, he decided to combine the two by teaching future lawyers! Nick has been a tutor since 2020, and joined Blueprint as an instructor and tutor in April, 2025. With a 178 on the LSAT, and experience as a science teacher, Nick knows what it takes to get difficult concepts to “click” for students. His time as a middle school teacher taught him how to tutor with empathy, patience, and a dash of humor. Nick is committed to helping students master the test and experience their own “click” moments on the path to becoming great lawyers. When not teaching, Nick enjoys reading with his two baby girls. Fun Fact: Out of an abundance of pandemic era stir-craziness, Nick and his father built an airplane in their garage in 2020.See more

Patrick
LSAT Score: 172
Education: Duke University School of Law, JD, Notre Dame, BA Liberal Studies
Patrick attended the University of Notre Dame, where he completed a classical education in the arts, history, literature, natural science, philosophy, politics, and theology. With his preparation for cocktail parties complete, he moved on to Duke University, picking up his law degree. A true Jack of all trades, Patrick has worked for appellate judges, private law firms, and startup software companies, but he is most inspired when he's shepherding his LSAT students toward their law school dreams. In class, Patrick considers himself a Logical Reasoning guru, taking great care to unravel the logic of each question type and demystify even the most opaque of questions. Fun Facts: A distance runner and pizza-making aficionado, Patrick finds his hobbies to complement each other, as he can just barely outrun his appetite.See more

Originally from Florida, Brook studied English and Philosophy at Boston University and chose to pursue law school after taking interest in her classes that touched on admin law. Brook worked full time while studying for the LSAT and believes that with the right support network and learning plan, any student can learn to conquer the test. As a Blueprint alumni, Brook is excited to assist other aspiring lawyers on their LSAT journeys and hopes to make the process fun and exciting like many of her tutors did for her. As a recent test taker Brook understands how daunting the test can be, but she also believes that knowledge is empowering, and through understanding the LSAT, students can also find enthusiasm towards it. Fun facts: When Brook is not talking someone’s ear off about the LSAT or law school, you can find her on long walks by the water, trying new bakeries, or investigating local hobby shops for her next collection to start.See more

Linette
LSAT Score: 175
Education: La Sierra University, BS Business and Management
Linette spent most of her childhood on her grandparents’ farm in Romania before learning English and moving to the U.S. as a teenager. She eventually entered La Sierra University as a Pre-Dental student, but soon decided she felt more comfortable examining oral testimony than oral cavities, and switched to a pre-law track. After graduating and earning a 175 on the LSAT, Linette joined Blueprint as an instructor April 2019, leading many Live Online and in-person Blueprint LSAT courses. Linette understands that everyone learns differently, which is why she makes sure to adapt her classes and teaching style to her students' needs. She also believes it’s extremely important to celebrate the small victories along the way, preferably with some rocky road ice cream (although any dessert would be acceptable). In her free time, Linette likes to get back to her roots by backpacking and camping in the wild. Although there are no goats around, the occasional bear and deer make up for that. Fun Facts: Linette has traveled to every country in Europe, and also earned a 99th-percentile score on the Dental Admissions Test.See more

Steve
LSAT Score: 173
Education: University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, JD, University of California, Berkeley, BA Rhetoric and Legal Studies
Steve is a music producer and composer who loves all forms of entertainment media and trying to figure out what makes some great and others horrendous. As an instructor and tutor for Blueprint since 2018, Steve has worked with dozens of students to tackle the LSAT and prepare themselves for law school. He spent countless hours with students working through tricky logical reasoning questions and obtuse reading comprehension passages. In his studies, Steve was the rare double Bear, graduating from both undergraduate studies and law school at UC Berkeley. In undergrad, he earned honors in both Rhetoric and Legal Studies, culminating in a thesis on the intersection between Enlightenment era philosophy and Christopher Nolan’s Memento (no, really!). After law school, Steve spent a few years in civil litigation, ranging from working on intellectual property issues, researching and writing appellate briefs and motions, clerking for a judge in the federal court system, helping low-income individuals obtain life-or-death restraining orders and advocating for homeless rights. His teaching style centers on trying to make the LSAT approachable and fun by injecting a frequent number of dad jokes (despite not being a dad) and walking through the logic behind the test. When not teaching the LSAT, you can find Steve watching Rick and Morty on repeat and working on his compositions. Fun Facts: Steve makes and produces music under the stage name Swansonic.See more

Beth
LSAT Score: 175
Education: University of Notre Dame, MSEd Secondary Education, University of Notre Dame, BA Political Science & Peace Studies
Beth graduated magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame in 2019, earning a bachelor’s degree in political science and peace studies with a certificate in international security. During her time in undergrad, she spent a summer teaching English to under-resourced communities in Morocco, studied politics abroad at University of Oxford, New College, and developed curricula for tutoring elementary school students in reading and math skills. After graduation, she continued at Notre Dame to complete the Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) Master of Education program. Through ACE, she taught high school social studies and mathematics full-time at Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit High School. Her teaching excellence earned her the 2020 Dennis Beadles Outstanding Future Educator Award from the Indiana Council for the Social Studies. Before attending University of Virginia School of Law, Beth was a data engineer for Thrivent Financial. She found that the logic required in coding was beneficial in her LSAT studies. She is excited to both teach and tutor the LSAT and finds great joy in explaining difficult topics in an approachable manner. Beth believes in promoting a growth mindset and motivates her students to achieve their LSAT goals. Her former students and colleagues have praised her for her ability to make complex concepts understandable and for her supportive teaching style. Fun Facts: Beth is an avid dog lover and former foster who adopted two big foster dogs named Cheez-It (a Lab/Collie/Poodle/St Bernard) and Cookie (a Great Pyrenees/White German Shepherd). You can find her out walking them every morning, rain, snow, or shine. See more

Ross
LSAT Score: 173
Education: University of California, Los Angeles, BA England and Political Science, University of Southern California, JD
Ross has a penchant for frustrating hobbies (he’s the author of thousands of failed tricks, missed waves, and unforced errors when skating, surfing, and playing tennis), so it’s perhaps no surprise that he was attracted to a frustrating test like the LSAT. Even after graduating from USC Law in 2013, he couldn’t escape the fierce grasp of this wily exam. So, Ross decided to start helping other people with the LSAT in 2014. Since then, he’s worked as an LSAT teacher and content creator. He’s led dozens of in-person and online courses, tutored hundreds of students, helped develop several LSAT courses, created hundreds of written and video LSAT explanations, written many articles about the exam for several outlets, and has hired, trained, and mentored dozens of other LSAT instructors. He’s been around this test for a long time. But he’s never become bored thinking about the test or helping his students achieve life-changing score increases. Although Ross enjoys the LSAT’s challenging nature, he knows that not everyone shares his enthusiasm for being humbled by a standardized test. So, Ross strives to create a comfortable and convivial learning environment in which asking questions and making mistakes are embraced as integral parts of the learning process. Ross also tries to meet every student on their level, demystifying the LSAT through a series of colorful, intuitive examples and analogies he’s built up over a decade in the field. After clarifying the test, Ross aims to show how his students already possess much of the reading and analytical skills needed for the LSAT — they just need a little nudge to apply these skills to the LSAT. Fun Fact: Not to date himself, but Ross once won a water bottle on the ‘90s Nickelodeon game show What Would You Do? See more

Jason
LSAT Score: 176
Education: University of Texas at Austin, PhD Educational Psychology , Brigham Young University, BA History, Communication
When we say that Jason thoroughly understands the LSAT, we're not kidding. In addition to scoring a 176 and teaching LSAT prep since 2004, Jason studied psychometrics (that's the study of standardized tests) and quantitative research methods as part of his doctorate at UT Austin. He even wrote his dissertation on "flipping" an LSAT course. He's taught dozens of courses to hundreds of students in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Salt Lake City, Provo (UT), Austin, Houston, Ann Arbor (MI), St. Louis, New York City, and online. Jason loves teaching, and uses everything from classic 80's movie references to slightly mangled hip hop lyrics to help his students conquer the LSAT. Jason, his wife, and three daughters live in St. Louis, where he builds up the engineering faculty at Washington University in St. Louis by day and breaks down LSAT arguments by night. He's always up for a good conversation about film, books, gaming, politics, or the NBA, and firmly believes that the LSAT is one of the most learnable standardized tests in use. Fun Facts: As an Air Force brat growing up, Jason attended 11 different schools and lived in 14 houses before graduating from high school. Jason has lived in Utah (twice), Texas (three times), California, England, Germany (twice), Wyoming, Oregon, Michigan, and Missouri, and speaks German fluently and Spanish conversationally.See more

Charlotte
LSAT Score: 176
Education: University of Pennsylvania, JD, Swarthmore College, BS Math and Computer Science
Charlotte probably would have majored in propositional logic in college if that had been an option. Since it wasn’t, she took a constellation of computer science, math, and philosophy classes and worked as a software developer after graduating. However, after a particularly riveting experience serving jury duty (yes, really!) sparked an interest in law, she decided to go to law school and took the LSAT. Her love of logic paid off, and she scored a 176. Charlotte graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School in 2023 and worked as a law clerk in the Appellate Division of the New Jersey Superior Court before joining Blueprint’s team of LSAT tutors. Her teaching style is encouraging and patient, and her experience as a teaching assistant in logic and computer science classes helps her break down difficult concepts and adapt her tutoring to fit her students’ needs. When she isn’t discussing the joys of propositional logic with students, she can be found hiking, doing chess puzzles, playing her synthesizer, or cheering her heart out at an Angel City FC match. Fun fact: Charlotte was on a trampoline team in middle and high school and competed at regional and national championship meets. While her trampoline days are behind her, she could probably still do a backflip if absolutely necessary.See more

Bobby
LSAT Score: 176
Education: University of Toronto, JD, University of Alberta, BS Neuroscience
Bobby studied neurosciences at the University of Alberta in Edmonton before moving to Toronto to study law. A highly sought after teacher and tutor, Bobby has been helping students prepare for standardized tests of all kinds since 2005. But the LSAT has always had his heart and been his primary focus from the start. In fact, helping people realize their LSAT goals has been his life’s calling. Bringing vast expertise and deep strategic knowledge, he has taught over 10,000 students in the classroom and hundreds of tutoring students. Bobby firmly believes that as a skills-based test full of patterns, anyone with the right kind and amount of practice can raise their LSAT score significantly. As a Canadian, Bobby also firmly believes that all team sports should be played on ice. Fun facts: Bobby is a long time powerlifter and powerlifting coach. He loves to play video games, too, currently on his PS5 but started with the NES. He takes long walks in the woods with his dog, Piper, to relax.See more

Jacob
LSAT Score: 175
Education: University of Notre Dame, BA Finance and Entrepreneurship
Jacob studied Finance and Entrepreneurship at the University of Notre Dame, graduating in 2019 and returning home to the warmer climate in Arkansas. Working in Corporate Finance by day and binge-watching Suits by night, Jacob decided to give the LSAT a try after testifying at a fascinating work-related deposition. He quickly fell in love with the concepts while studying his way to a 175 on the October 2021 LSAT. A prolific arguer on all topics, Jacob especially loves to teach argument structure and common flaws in arguments. He also enjoys closely examining answer choices across each section, with an emphasis on helping his students spot patterns among tempting incorrect answer choices. When not thinking about the LSAT or working, Jacob is probably dominating the Chess board or embarrassing himself on the basketball court. Fun Fact: In addition to Suits, Jacob is a superfan of The Office, and begins each lesson with a quote from Michael Scott or Dwight Schrute. See more

Oscar
LSAT Score: 177
Education: University of Washington, BA International Studies
After graduating college with a bachelor’s in vague studies and an internship at the unemployment factory, Oscar’s future looked uncertain. His attempts at starting careers as a mountain climber, a kiteboarder, and a skier all fizzled when the $0/year salary failed to keep up with his expenses. Eventually, he made the choice to earn his keep by standing up for people who actually did have jobs, and became a full-time union organizer. But after working for a couple years, Oscar figured that he needed a change of pace from constantly “leaving his bedroom” and “going outside.” So, he tore his ACL and spent several weeks in his bed in the dark. This period of sensory deprivation made Oscar so deranged that he decided he wanted to be a lawyer, which is why he can (kind of) honestly say that he has been studying the LSAT since before he could walk. Oscar scored a 177 on the LSAT, and is confident that anyone with patience and dedication can learn to decode it. His experience explaining contracts and labor law as a union organizer helped him develop the ability to break down complex ideas in ways that anyone can understand, and his teaching style is conversational and interactive. When he’s not teaching the LSAT or working with his labor union, Oscar can be found at home reading or out on one of the PNW’s many hiking trails. Fun Facts: Oscar speaks Spanish (well) and Swedish (sort of well). He has climbed the tallest mountain in Washington State, the tallest mountain in Vietnam, and the tallest escalator in Washington, D.C. after it got stuck.See more

Because a 170 isn't just a score—it's a game-changer.
Scoring in the 170s puts you in the top 2-3% of all test takers, opening doors to T14 law schools, scholarship offers, and a more competitive application overall. A strong LSAT score can help balance out a lower GPA, reduce your future debt, and even increase your chances of landing interviews at top firms post-law school. But beyond the stats, aiming for a 170+ LSAT score gives you a clear goal to work toward—and with the right prep, it's more within reach than most people think. If you're putting in the effort, why not aim for a score that can seriously shift your law school (and career) trajectory? That's where we come in. With expert instructors, score guarantees, and the highest-rated LSAT prep in the game, Blueprint is built to get you there.
You will select the class schedule with specific instructors after purchase when you setup your Study Plan. We do this to maximize the flexibility you have to customize your prep classes to your unique schedule.
During your 6 months of access, you will have access to every course schedule, every live lesson, and every recording. This means that you will be able to switch between course schedules by resetting your plan, attend individual live lessons from different course schedules, or watch recordings of any past lesson. It also means that you can reset your Study Plan at any time if your availability changes.
If a class is listed on this page, there are seats still available!
The LSAT score range runs from 120 to 180, with 120 being the lowest and 180 the highest you can get. Your raw score—basically, the number of questions you get right—is converted into that scaled score. Heads up: there's no penalty for guessing, so you should always make sure to answer every question, even if you have to take a wild guess. Leaving questions blank? That's the real missed opportunity.
There's no sugarcoating it—scoring a 170+ on the LSAT is hard. It means outperforming 97% of test takers, and it takes serious time, focus, and strategy. But hard doesn't mean impossible. With the right prep plan, expert guidance, and a willingness to put in the work, a 170+ is absolutely within reach. Plenty of Blueprint students have done it—and we've built an entire course with a score guarantee* around helping you do the same. If you're aiming high, we're here to help you hit it.
It does—and it's as ambitious as your goal. Our 170+ Course is built for big results, and we back it up with a powerful guarantee. If you don't hit a 170 or higher on your official LSAT—or improve your score by at least 10 points—you've got options. Here's how it works: You're a first-time Blueprint student enrolled in the 170+ LSAT Course, and:
- You have a baseline score—either an official LSAT taken within 6 months before enrolling, or Practice Exam 1 taken within 2 weeks of logging in.
- You attend at least 22 course sessions live (and watch or attend the other 2).
- You take Blueprint Practice Exam 1 and at least 7 more Blueprint practice exams.
- You complete all learning modules.
- You answer 2,500 questions total—including 1,200 from Reading Comprehension, with 800 from full-length exams and 1,700 from extra practice or Qbank.
If you meet all the requirements and don't score a 170 on the LSAT or boost your score by 10+ points, you can choose:
- A 5-month extension of your course, or
- A full refund of your original purchase.
