Ashton grew up in the Austin area before it was cool to live there, and returned home after stints in Memphis, Rome, New York City, and Houston. She still has dreams about the food in every one of those places, and found time in law school to visit the best dessert spots in NYC between classes, volleyball games, and cramming for finals. Ashton scored a 174 on the LSAT in 2015 and accepted a full ride to New York University School of Law. Lily

Education: Connecticut College, BA Government and Classical Studies

Lily attended Connecticut College where she studied Government and Classical Studies and served for three years as Head Captain of the CC Mock Trial Club. Lily was a Blueprint student in the summer of 2024, when she took the LSAT Live 170+ course and achieved a 178 on her first official LSAT administration. Before joining Blueprint as a tutor, Lily worked as the Latin Language tutor. She loves working one-on-one with students and seeing them grow in skill and confidence over time. Lily plans to attend law school in the near future, but in the meantime she loves coloring, scrapbooking, going to the gym, and spending time with her two golden retrievers, Zephyr and Henry! Isabella

Education: Brock University, MA Critical Sociology, Brock University, BA Women and Gender Studies

Isabella attended Brock University, in her hometown of St. Catharines Ontario Canada, completing both a B.A. and Masters of Arts in the Social Sciences. While pursuing these degrees, Isabella was able to fully realize her passion for systemic based advocacy through working as a Policy Analyst and contributing to three published policy papers addressing legislative-based recommendations to better serve Ontario’s undergraduate student population. It was this governance and policy based work that helped Isabella discover her passion for law and systemic advocacy. And what ultimately led her to pursuing legal education as she is an incoming 1L at Cornell Law School. As a Blueprint alum, Isabella is excited to use her LSAT knowledge, and teaching experience, to help students reach their full potential through decoding the exam in a way that fits their learning styles best. With experience as a teaching assistant, peer tutor, and student mentor, Isabella is excited to take the skills she has built and help others achieve their LSAT goals. Firmly believing that LSAT prep is more like a marathon than a sprint, Isabella emphasizes the importance of small victories along one’s studying journey and building strong strategy upfront for success later. When she’s not working on school assignments or teaching the LSAT, you’ll likely find her listening to her meticulously curated Spotify playlists or trying out new coffee shops. Fun Fact: Isabella loves distance running and now that she has recently accomplished a half marathon, she is beginning to prepare for a full marathon next year. See more

Sam

Sam has been an instructor and tutor with Blueprint since March 2011 — albeit with a brief sojourn to earn a J.D. at Pepperdine Law. His journey to becoming one of Blueprint LSAT's most experienced instructors and tutors began in the scenic metropolis of Stockton, CA. Sam begrudgingly moved to Los Angeles for college, where he graduated from UCLA with a BA in Economics. Ever since, he has instructed students of all ages in a wide range of subjects, particularly math. In fact, Sam brings over 10 years of teaching experience to the field he enjoys most: the LSAT. Sam's love of teaching and tutoring the LSAT stems from his desire to see others succeed. He takes great joy in helping people with little or no familiarity with the LSAT develop such a thorough understanding of the test that their scores skyrocket. He also understands the fears and anxieties many people have about test-taking and law school admissions; handling and overcoming those fears are part of many of his favorite success stories. With a decade of experience in LSAT Prep, he has thoroughly enjoyed seeing his students thrive in law school and their legal careers. Fun Facts: Sam splits his spare time between visiting the beach and poring over sports statistics. His latest obsession is attempting to project hitting statistics for the upcoming baseball season. Casey

Education: George Washington University, BA Journalism

Casey grew up in the Pacific Northwest, spent a few years away to attend college in D.C., and returned home for his career as a TV news reporter. He has a passion for breaking down complex concepts and making them easy to understand, and developed a reputation in the field for his unique in-depth explanatory videos and fact-checks. While working as a reporter, Casey noticed over and over that he especially enjoyed covering stories about the law. Eternally curious, he decided to try taking the LSAT. He found himself really enjoying studying for the test; it was a new avenue to explore his love for language and obsession with little details. With the help of Blueprint he was soon regularly scoring in the 170s on practice tests (and one much-coveted 180), and achieved his target score on the real test. He realized he could meld that achievement with his passion for explaining stuff, and linked up with Blueprint to help more people reach their goals. Casey is a persevering Mariners fan, a master of bar trivia, loves movies and TV shows, enjoys playing softball with his friends, and is critically addicted to Twitter and TikTok. Fun Facts: Casey maintains a detailed spreadsheet exploring his local food scene, having logged and rated more than 150 restaurants and food carts so far.See more

Ross

LSAT Score: 173

Education: University of California, Los Angeles, BA England and Political Science, University of Southern California, JD

Ross has a penchant for frustrating hobbies (he’s the author of thousands of failed tricks, missed waves, and unforced errors when skating, surfing, and playing tennis), so it’s perhaps no surprise that he was attracted to a frustrating test like the LSAT. Even after graduating from USC Law in 2013, he couldn’t escape the fierce grasp of this wily exam. So, Ross decided to start helping other people with the LSAT in 2014. Since then, he’s worked as an LSAT teacher and content creator. He’s led dozens of in-person and online courses, tutored hundreds of students, helped develop several LSAT courses, created hundreds of written and video LSAT explanations, written many articles about the exam for several outlets, and has hired, trained, and mentored dozens of other LSAT instructors. He’s been around this test for a long time. But he’s never become bored thinking about the test or helping his students achieve life-changing score increases. Although Ross enjoys the LSAT’s challenging nature, he knows that not everyone shares his enthusiasm for being humbled by a standardized test. So, Ross strives to create a comfortable and convivial learning environment in which asking questions and making mistakes are embraced as integral parts of the learning process. Ross also tries to meet every student on their level, demystifying the LSAT through a series of colorful, intuitive examples and analogies he’s built up over a decade in the field. After clarifying the test, Ross aims to show how his students already possess much of the reading and analytical skills needed for the LSAT — they just need a little nudge to apply these skills to the LSAT. Brook

Education: Boston University, BA English

Originally from Florida, Brook studied English and Philosophy at Boston University and chose to pursue law school after taking interest in her classes that touched on admin law. Brook worked full time while studying for the LSAT and believes that with the right support network and learning plan, any student can learn to conquer the test. As a Blueprint alumni, Brook is excited to assist other aspiring lawyers on their LSAT journeys and hopes to make the process fun and exciting like many of her tutors did for her. As a recent test taker Brook understands how daunting the test can be, but she also believes that knowledge is empowering, and through understanding the LSAT, students can also find enthusiasm towards it. Fun facts: When Brook is not talking someone’s ear off about the LSAT or law school, you can find her on long walks by the water, trying new bakeries, or investigating local hobby shops for her next collection to start.See more

Gerry

LSAT Score: 173

Education: Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, JD, Loyola Marymount University, BA Philosophy

Upon graduating from college, Gerry decided that spending his time avoiding growing up was far more desirable than any other option. After working as a touring musician, he then decided to spend time with people of a similar maturity level and became an elementary school teacher. One day, on a casual bike ride (from San Francisco to Los Angeles), Gerry decided that taking the LSAT sounded like a fun idea. He scored a 173, and soon joined Blueprint’s team of instructors and tutors. Gerry’s time teaching elementary school children and touring with temperamental musicians instilled a lot of patience in Gerry, making Gerry's teaching style laid back and empathetic. He enjoys incorporating anecdotes to help his students stay entertained and more vividly remember LSAT concepts. Gerry graduated from Northwestern Law cum laude in 2018 and has worked in commercial litigation. Gerry now splits his time teaching the LSAT, recording music, and taking the occasionally epiphanic bike ride through L.A. Fun Facts: Substituting quality for quantity, Gerry has learned to "fake it pretty well" on over 10 instruments and has performed with musicians ranging from Willie Nelson to Howie D (the guy from the Backstreet Boys with a ponytail).See more

Madelyn

LSAT Score: 172

Education: University of California, Santa Barbara, BA Communication, UCLA, JD

Madelyn graduated summa cum laude from UCSB in 2022, studying Communication with minors in Professional Writing and Technology Management. While she loved living right next to the beach, she traded the ocean for skyscrapers after graduation. She first worked in sales in San Francisco before ultimately moving to Los Angeles for law school. Now, she is a current law student at UCLA. A Blueprint alumna herself, Madelyn firmly believes in giving back to the communities that helped her get to where she is now. That's why her free time is full of teaching Blueprint classes, coaching her college's mock trial team, and volunteering with her high school's speech and debate team. Although the awards she earned in these activities were great, they are not her fondest memories. Rather, the most important things she learned were empathy, teamwork, and diligence -- qualities that now define her instruction. She shows up to each class with the mentality that if she could earn a 20 point increase by taking Blueprint's Live Course, each of her students can too. She hopes to learn with you soon! Emma

Emma grew up in Wichita, Kansas but now calls Boston home. She is a law student at Boston University School of Law, where she is pursuing a career in immigration law. Emma has interned at a legal aid organization in Boston where she worked with asylum seekers, and she is currently part of BU Law’s Immigrants’ Rights and Human Trafficking Clinic. Before law school, Emma worked as a middle school Spanish teacher. She earned a B.A. in Political Science and Spanish from Oklahoma Baptist University. While at OBU, she self-studied for the LSAT and scored a perfect 180! Emma is a firm believer that the LSAT is a teachable test and everyone can see improvement between Day 1 and Test Day.
