Sam has been an instructor and tutor with Blueprint since March 2011 — albeit with a brief sojourn to earn a J.D. at Pepperdine Law. His journey to becoming one of Blueprint LSAT's most experienced instructors and tutors began in the scenic metropolis of Stockton, CA. Sam begrudgingly moved to Los Angeles for college, where he graduated from UCLA with a BA in Economics. Ever since, he has instructed students of all ages in a wide range of subjects, particularly math. In fact, Sam brings over 10 years of teaching experience to the field he enjoys most: the LSAT. Sam's love of teaching and tutoring the LSAT stems from his desire to see others succeed. He takes great joy in helping people with little or no familiarity with the LSAT develop such a thorough understanding of the test that their scores skyrocket. He also understands the fears and anxieties many people have about test-taking and law school admissions; handling and overcoming those fears are part of many of his favorite success stories. With a decade of experience in LSAT Prep, he has thoroughly enjoyed seeing his students thrive in law school and their legal careers. Fun Facts: Sam splits his spare time between visiting the beach and poring over sports statistics. His latest obsession is attempting to project hitting statistics for the upcoming baseball season. Casey

Education: George Washington University, BA Journalism

Casey grew up in the Pacific Northwest, spent a few years away to attend college in D.C., and returned home for his career as a TV news reporter. He has a passion for breaking down complex concepts and making them easy to understand, and developed a reputation in the field for his unique in-depth explanatory videos and fact-checks. While working as a reporter, Casey noticed over and over that he especially enjoyed covering stories about the law. Eternally curious, he decided to try taking the LSAT. He found himself really enjoying studying for the test; it was a new avenue to explore his love for language and obsession with little details. With the help of Blueprint he was soon regularly scoring in the 170s on practice tests (and one much-coveted 180), and achieved his target score on the real test. He realized he could meld that achievement with his passion for explaining stuff, and linked up with Blueprint to help more people reach their goals. Casey is a persevering Mariners fan, a master of bar trivia, loves movies and TV shows, enjoys playing softball with his friends, and is critically addicted to Twitter and TikTok. Fun Facts: Casey maintains a detailed spreadsheet exploring his local food scene, having logged and rated more than 150 restaurants and food carts so far.See more

Chris

Chris is a veteran Blueprint instructor and tutor who has helped hundreds of students improve their LSAT scores since 2015. Before becoming one of Blueprint's most sought-after tutors and instructors, Chris took a unique route to the world of law and law school admissions tests. After graduating Cal State Fullerton, Chris spent three years working as a music journalist, interviewing the likes of Outkast, Jane's Addiction, and Weird Al. Chris eventually decided to switch things up and pursue a legal career. Chris graduated from Loyola Law School in 2006 and became a well-respected litigator, recognized by Super Lawyers' Rising Stars multiple times before opening his own legal practice in 2015. If all that wasn’t enough, Chris decided to start teaching the LSAT too, and has been one of Blueprint’s busiest instructors over the past five years. Chris’s experience with diverse personalities — from eccentric rock stars to stodgy judges — gave Chris the patience and persistence to help anyone studying the LSAT. When not teaching the LSAT or playing with his kids, Chris enjoys strumming '90s emo songs on his guitar, cheering on the LA Galaxy, or watching high-brow television with his wife like Big Brother or Bachelor in Paradise. Madelyn

Education: University of California, Santa Barbara, BA Communication, UCLA, JD

Madelyn graduated summa cum laude from UCSB in 2022, studying Communication with minors in Professional Writing and Technology Management. While she loved living right next to the beach, she traded the ocean for skyscrapers after graduation. She first worked in sales in San Francisco before ultimately moving to Los Angeles for law school. Now, she is a current law student at UCLA. A Blueprint alumna herself, Madelyn firmly believes in giving back to the communities that helped her get to where she is now. That's why her free time is full of teaching Blueprint classes, coaching her college's mock trial team, and volunteering with her high school's speech and debate team. Although the awards she earned in these activities were great, they are not her fondest memories. Rather, the most important things she learned were empathy, teamwork, and diligence -- qualities that now define her instruction. She shows up to each class with the mentality that if she could earn a 20 point increase by taking Blueprint's Live Course, each of her students can too. She hopes to learn with you soon! Gene

Gene is a veteran instructor who fell in love with the LSAT almost 20 years ago and has helped thousands of students reach their goals ever since! Before getting into the wacky zany world of law school test preparation, Gene produced morning radio in NYC, did crank calls for 600 radio stations, and produced stand-up comedy shows at the Improv and New York Comedy Club. He parlayed this experience into his mantra of "Make the LSAT fun!" that fits the Blueprint ethos quite nicely, even though he's still downtrodden about the loss of Logic Games. When he's not teaching the LSAT, Gene enjoys spending time with his two daughters, playing electric guitar, keeping his basketball skills sharp, and finally took up pickleball to see what all the hype was about. Fun facts: Gene speaks fluent Russian, used to play rhythm guitar in a Metallica cover band, and once snuck into the White House Correspondents Dinner.See more

Roni

Education: Harvard University, JD, Yale University, BA Anthropology

Roni is a public interest lawyer who is passionate about social justice, civil rights, and helping others including future lawyers master the LSAT. While the exam did not come naturally to her at first, by leaning into her strengths, conquering her weakest question types, and with the help of a little (okay maybe a lot) of caffeine, Roni walked away with a top score. Because of her own LSAT journey, Roni firmly believes the LSAT is a teachable skill rather than an innate talent. She loves helping future legal advocates demystify the exam, conquer test anxiety, and unlock the scores they need to launch their legal careers.See more

Nicholas

LSAT Score: 178

Education: Boston College, BA Philosophy

Nick attended Boston College, studying Philosophy and receiving the Bapst Philosophy prize. Alongside the award he received the following advice: “Philosophy opens up two careers, Teaching or Law.” In a moment of insight, he decided to combine the two by teaching future lawyers! Nick has been a tutor since 2020, and joined Blueprint as an instructor and tutor in April, 2025. With a 178 on the LSAT, and experience as a science teacher, Nick knows what it takes to get difficult concepts to “click” for students. His time as a middle school teacher taught him how to tutor with empathy, patience, and a dash of humor. Nick is committed to helping students master the test and experience their own “click” moments on the path to becoming great lawyers. When not teaching, Nick enjoys reading with his two baby girls. Fun Fact: Out of an abundance of pandemic era stir-craziness, Nick and his father built an airplane in their garage in 2020.See more

Linette

LSAT Score: 175

Education: La Sierra University, BS Business and Management

Linette spent most of her childhood on her grandparents’ farm in Romania before learning English and moving to the U.S. as a teenager. She eventually entered La Sierra University as a Pre-Dental student, but soon decided she felt more comfortable examining oral testimony than oral cavities, and switched to a pre-law track. After graduating and earning a 175 on the LSAT, Linette joined Blueprint as an instructor April 2019, leading many Live Online and in-person Blueprint LSAT courses. Linette understands that everyone learns differently, which is why she makes sure to adapt her classes and teaching style to her students' needs. She also believes it’s extremely important to celebrate the small victories along the way, preferably with some rocky road ice cream (although any dessert would be acceptable). In her free time, Linette likes to get back to her roots by backpacking and camping in the wild. Although there are no goats around, the occasional bear and deer make up for that. Fun Facts: Linette has traveled to every country in Europe, and also earned a 99th-percentile score on the Dental Admissions Test.See more

Isabella

Education: Brock University, MA Critical Sociology, Brock University, BA Women and Gender Studies

Isabella attended Brock University, in her hometown of St. Catharines Ontario Canada, completing both a B.A. and Masters of Arts in the Social Sciences. While pursuing these degrees, Isabella was able to fully realize her passion for systemic based advocacy through working as a Policy Analyst and contributing to three published policy papers addressing legislative-based recommendations to better serve Ontario’s undergraduate student population. It was this governance and policy based work that helped Isabella discover her passion for law and systemic advocacy. And what ultimately led her to pursuing legal education as she is an incoming 1L at Cornell Law School. As a Blueprint alum, Isabella is excited to use her LSAT knowledge, and teaching experience, to help students reach their full potential through decoding the exam in a way that fits their learning styles best. With experience as a teaching assistant, peer tutor, and student mentor, Isabella is excited to take the skills she has built and help others achieve their LSAT goals. Firmly believing that LSAT prep is more like a marathon than a sprint, Isabella emphasizes the importance of small victories along one’s studying journey and building strong strategy upfront for success later. When she’s not working on school assignments or teaching the LSAT, you’ll likely find her listening to her meticulously curated Spotify playlists or trying out new coffee shops. Fun Fact: Isabella loves distance running and now that she has recently accomplished a half marathon, she is beginning to prepare for a full marathon next year. See more
