Meredith Spoto

A native of Boston, Meredith fancies herself a converted Californian—unabashedly enamored with In ‘N Out, acupuncture, and “artisanal mayonnaise.” But her love for Dunkin’ Donuts remains, a relic of her Masshole roots.

Before landing in California, Meredith studied at the University of Chicago. During her first couple years of college she worked as an EMT, which convinced her she wasn’t too fond of sick people or bodily fluids, and she abandoned her dream of becoming a doctor. On a whim, she applied for a small, interdisciplinary major in law and society, and was stunned to find that she loved it and wanted to go to law school. So she capitalized on the misery that is winter in Chicago and locked herself away to study for LSAT, emerging only for sustenance and her waitressing gig. Her hibernation period ended when the trees started to grow leaves again, and she scored a 172.

Meredith thinks the LSAT is kind of like a guy at a bar who just won’t leave you alone—it’s annoying at best and scary at worst, but if you get to know it a little bit, it might just surprise you by being quirkier and a little more fun than you thought possible.
