Jeremy is a creative and high-energy instructor with a love for teaching and learning. He sees learning as a vehicle for personal growth, development of self-confidence, and realizing our full potential. A natural-born educator, Jeremy started his own STEM tutoring service in high school and continued teaching basic sciences as a TA in both his undergraduate and PA studies. Jeremy’s teaching career blossomed after graduation from PA school when he started working as a professor in the classroom and a preceptor in critical care. In his clinical role, he launched an APP Residency in Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine which has trained 70+ Critical Care APPs to date. Looking to capitalize on the asynchronous learning styles of modern students, he also created and co-hosted a Critical Care Podcast called Pulmcast which has over 200,000 streams across multiple continents!
A current PhD student in medical education, Jeremy continues to leverage challenges in his own learning and looks to help learners do the same to realize their own limitless potential. Jeremy focuses on high-yield concepts, understanding rather than memorizing, and augmenting long-term retention with frequent self-testing. You’ll be sure to appreciate Jeremy’s playful yet pragmatic energy, and he’s exactly the kind of educator you want in your corner as you prepare to crush your exam.
Kara is a very eager, detail-oriented instructor who loves to spend time breaking down complicated subject matter into much simpler forms. She loves it so much she is currently breaking down the finer points of potty training to her toddler son. She has taught various topics for the past 3 years at a local physician assistant program, in addition to teaching students who rotated with her cardiac surgery practice. She is passionate about teaching clinically relevant material that will inevitably be the focus of the PANCE.
As a member of the charter class in her PA program, she understands the importance of having seasoned instructors who truly understand the material that they are teaching and can pass their knowledge on succinctly and successfully. Kara is passionate about being able to adapt to different learning styles and abilities while still applying clinically relevant information. One of her favorite ways to teach is through clinical vignettes, which happen to be very prevalent on the board exams. Kara’s teaching style imparts knowledge in an approachable, unique way that makes her a valuable test-day prep aid.
After practicing Emergency Medicine for five years, Avery has developed a passion for educating others in a manner that brings medical knowledge to life. Throughout her Emergency Medicine Fellowship, she presented engaging lectures by sharing essential clinical pearls. Avery fondly recalls her time as both a tutor and a tutee during her Physician Assistant (PA) School days, and the fulfillment that the experience brought her.
A key aspect of Avery's teaching philosophy involves instilling confidence in others, enabling them to perform at their best. She joined Blueprint to give back to the community that supported her during her PANCE studies. Avery firmly believes in the transformative power of tutoring and is committed to paying it forward to the next generation of medical professionals.
Outside of her professional life, Avery enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog, Fig, and her husband. She is also an avid traveler and has a penchant for baking.
Olivia is an enthusiastic and ambitious tutor who is eager to work with you to achieve your goals. She has experience tutoring and working as a teaching assistant since 2016 in various subjects, such as general biology, genetics, and human anatomy. After graduating from PA school in 2021, she began her career as a physician assistant working in hospital and critical care medicine. This experience has kept her knowledge based broad and has allowed her to correlate classroom studies to clinical examples, enhancing one’s understanding of the material. Olivia believes in a collaborative relationship with tutees as they progress towards success. She specializes in adapting study strategies for individuals and formulating goals to enhance time management. She also loves practice questions! Olivia understands that no two students are the same and can acclimate to an individual’s needs. Olivia would be the perfect addition to your PANCE prep and is motivated to help you crush your test!
Hattie is a Physician Assistant who is currently completing a fellowship in hospital medicine with plans to continue working in academic hospital medicine afterward. She has worked with learners for many years starting in undergrad when she was a supplemental instruction leader and tutor for anatomy & physiology as well as organic chemistry. She continues to seek out opportunities to teach and hopes to teach full-time at some point in her career.
Hattie loves to nerd out, in PA school she learned best by quizzing herself- writing topics out on a whiteboard from memory, using anki, and making study guides. She likes to make learning fun and will work hard to find ways to explain topics so that you can understand them and also come up with quirky ways to remember them! Fun fact- she recently spent 3 weeks backpacking Italy with her husband and hopes to live in Florence at some point in her life. She can’t wait to work with you and help you succeed!
Kelly is a PA currently practicing orthopedic surgery. Before becoming a PA she worked as a Registered Dietitian in the clinical hospital setting as well as with private clients. Kelly discovered a passion for teaching while working as a physiology TA. She found it incredibly rewarding to work with students that were struggling and then watching them excel. She understands that students have individual learning needs and different learning styles. She works to optimize outcomes by helping students identify areas for improvement and address these learning differences. She loves learning, teaching and engaging with students. Kelly loves to share the tools and knowledge necessary to excel on PANCE and PANRE.
When she isn’t working Kelly loves be outside as much as possible with her husband, daughter and Bernese Mountain Dog! She loves cycling, hiking, and competing in triathlons and marathons!
In her spare time, Liz loves to exercise, read, spend time with her family, and watch movies. She looks forward to helping and getting to know Blueprint students.
Sara is an excited, fun-loving, and friendly tutor who has always had a passion for teaching and helping others. Sara began her love of teaching and tutoring in PA school where she tutored fellow classmates struggling in didactic year, taught fellow classmates point of care ultrasound exams, and mentored local high school students interested in the medical field. Sara would often make study guides and practice questions that were used by her entire class and she loves a good competition so feel free to challenge her at any time. Sara is very patient but will also do her very best to draw the best student and test-taker out of you. Sara often gets into the mindset of the examiner or the person writing exam questions and hopefully she will be able to teach you the skills and best mindset to be in while taking exams. You will often hear Sara saying focus on the high-yield information and ignore the fluff to be the most successful and to see the greatest improvement of your test scores.
Sara has been working as a PA in Hospitalist Medicine since 2020 and loves her job and even takes PA students going through their clinical rotations already. In her spare time she loves going to trivia, playing soccer, and going to bingo. Sara will help you buckle down, become the best student and test-taker you can be and cannot wait to celebrate all your victories with you.
Michael A. Sharma, MPAS, PA-C, an experienced PA practicing emergency and urgent care medicine in Dallas, TX, thinks questions on standardized medical exams are like evil agents from the iconic film The Matrix. Every question is based in a world that is built on rules, and he loves to teach students how to twist those rules to their advantage. He creates an interactive and energetic classroom environment, helping students build a solid medical knowledge foundation for exams and beyond. Since 2010, he has been teaching medical practitioners and in 2016, he started tutoring and instructing PA students and practicing PAs to excel in their PA National Certification and Recertification Exam (PANCE/PANRE). Michael successfully utilized his own preparation process to overcome his PANRE in 2016. Currently, he is slicing and dicing his way through the at-home PANRE-LA.
Additionally, he is an adjunct professor of PA Studies, co-hosts “The 2 View: EM PAs & NPs” podcast (2view.fireside.fm), and regularly lectures nationally and internationally. He is a U.S. Army veteran and a graduate of the Interservice PA Program and Texas A&M University. Erica is an energetic PA with a passion for teaching and the progression of the PA profession. Erica began her career as an Inpatient Hospitalist and then transitioned to Emergency Medicine. She also functions as a preceptor and adjunct professor for a local PA program. With such a broad scope of knowledge Erica's specialty is ensuring students understand the true progression of a differential diagnosis and disease state. Erica finds that students thrive when they are able to see the big picture and then sprinkle in the details later for deeper understanding. Erica believes that highly engaged students are better test takers and better providers.
In her spare time Erica has three children under the age of 5 and coaches collegiate dance! Talk about being an educator in all walks of life. These varied teaching opportunities allow Erica to meet you where you are at, push you to commit to your own success, but also give you a big "You got this!" pep talk if needed. During your course prep you will find Erica to be the enthusiasm and focus you need to cross the finish line. She is well known for providing tangible patient cases and examples to create context to your studying and provide clear high yield "buzz words" you can easily recall on test day.
