Both instructors worked very well with each other, which made the class engagement be very high. I learned a lot from these two, and I highly recommend pairing them up again for future classes.

Sree and Veda were the best instructors I could have asked for! They both were so great at explaining difficult concepts and explained them thoroughly. Answered all of my questions in class no matter if it was repetitive and I could tell they truly cared about our success. I cannot thank them enough! The class itself was great, I take my exam next month, so hopefully it all pays off.

I am so incredibly appreciative of this course. It provided for excellent content pacing, a great review bank, and wonderful opportunities to track and monitor my progress. My instructors were so kind and personable. Every class was very engaging and exciting. Bilal does a wonderful job of explaining difficult content while engaging well with the class. I appreciate all of the instructors for being so well prepared for each class.
Bilal was always very great to reach out to for specific questions. For issues in various questions, I didn't understand, or not seeing a desired score improved -- Bilal was prompt and detailed in his response. Each instructor cared well for the success of the class, and was excited and ready to be there.

This class was super helpful not only because of the blueprint materials but because of the help from instructors. These 3 instructors really go above and beyond to make sure we understood topics, skills, and tricks for approaching mcat questions and were also always available for additional help and explanations. I don't think I would have taken away as much as I did if I had other instructors.

I am a non-traditional student working 40 hours/week and was struggling to dedicate time and effort into MCAT studying. This prompted me to look into blueprint tutoring services, and I selected the 24 hour tutoring package deal that is broken down to about 2 hour tutor session a week until my test date in January. Sarah Pasinski was my assigned tutor, and I was very pleased with her services. She was very accommodating with my schedule given that I worked 8-5 M-F. Most importantly, I enjoyed Sarah's method of tutoring- she taught content by asking questions and correcting me when necessary. I found this type of active learning incredibly helpful with memory retention. For B/B passages, she went through each answer option and we discussed why the incorrect choices were incorrect. I've noticed that my reasoning and critical thinking developed through her guidance. My initial diagnostic 1/2 BP exam score was 497 (125/125/121/126). Given my time constraints, I took 3 AAMC FLs with my last FL (exam #5) score 507 on January 6. Actual MCAT test date was January 15, and final score was 513 (127/129/130/127).

I had an outstanding experience working with Richard O'Neal. From start to finish, he provided incredibly thoughtful and detailed feedback that served to strengthen every part of my application. His turnaround time was always quick, which made the stressful application process feel much more manageable.
What truly stood out was Richard's dedication and willingness to take time and discuss any part of my application/ the admissions process. He was always willing to schedule mock interviews, offering constructive critiques and helpful strategies that boosted my confidence. He always made sure to stress the importance of letting one's true self shine through which will always resonate with me.
I’m incredibly grateful for Richard's support throughout this process and would highly recommend him to anyone applying to medical school.
I absolutely believe that Blueprint was essential to my success on the MCAT and my subsequent success during the medical school application cycle.

Choosing the best MCAT prep course is vital to your success. Consider your own learning style, how long you have to prep, and your overall goals. The most important thing to look for when deciding on an MCAT prep course is how representative it is. The official AAMC practice exams are a cornerstone of any effective MCAT study plan, as simulating the real test environment is key to achieving your best performance. However, you will need to supplement your MCAT prep with other resources to get enough practice to reach your target score.
As the leader in representative MCAT prep, Blueprint MCAT (formerly Next Step) regularly updates our prep materials and interface to ensure our students do their best and use the most representative MCAT practice resources. Whether you need the complete flexibility of the Blueprint MCAT Self-Paced Course, the interaction and instruction of Blueprint Live and 515+ courses, or the one-on-one attention of a private MCAT tutor, Blueprint students see life-changing results. Ultimately, choosing the best MCAT prep course for you comes down to your personal learning style and preference, but we know you’ll find the right course with Blueprint MCAT.
When should I start studying for the MCAT?
The AAMC recommends students dedicate about 300 hours to MCAT test prep. However, if you're aiming for a top score, you may need to spend as much as 500 hours prepping. Typically, MCAT prep is spread out over 3-6 months. Once you have a test date in mind, evaluate your schedule to realistically gauge the time you can commit to your MCAT prep. Whether it’s on your own, with an online MCAT course, in a class, or with a personal tutor, make sure your MCAT test prep isn’t rushed.
How should I start studying for the MCAT?
If you’re here, you’re already taking the right first step! To get started on your MCAT prep, take a diagnostic practice test. This initial test will help you identify your baseline score, highlight what you already know, and set the stage for a more focused and effective study plan.
Then, create a free study schedule using our customizable online MCAT study planner. Your study plan will organize all your MCAT practice, including content review, practice tests, practice question sets, and reviews.
Remember, everyone’s study schedule will look different. What works best for one student may not work for another. Find what works best for you and stick to it. Consistency is key when it comes to successful MCAT test prep.
Are MCAT prep courses worth it?
It depends on your individual learning style and study habits. Some students benefit from the structure and guidance of a prep course, while others prefer to self-study using a blend of resources. However, research shows that a 15-point score increase can nearly quadruple your acceptance rate. This means investing in a quality MCAT prep course can ultimately pay off in a higher score and increased chances of acceptance into your dream medical school.
Remember that studying for the MCAT is not just about content review. It also requires learning strategies and test-taking techniques that can help maximize your performance on exam day. A good MCAT prep course will not only provide you with comprehensive content review, but also teach you how to approach MCAT questions and manage your time effectively.
When and where can I take the MCAT?
The MCAT is offered about 30 times per year between January and September, allowing you to select a test date and test center location that fits your schedule. Although the MCAT is taken on a computer, you must take it at a designated test center. MCAT exam scores are typically released approximately one month after the exam is taken.
What is the MCAT?
The Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) is a standardized exam that plays a crucial role in the admissions process for nearly every medical school in the U.S. and Canada. Administered by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), the MCAT evaluates essential skills needed for success in medical school. These include problem-solving, critical thinking, and a solid understanding of natural, behavioral, and social science concepts and principles. Effective MCAT prep requires a balanced blend of thorough content review, practical application, and consistent practice. A strong MCAT score is a key component of your medical school application.
What is on the MCAT?
The MCAT is seven-and-a-half hours long, making it one of the most rigorous standardized tests out there. It consists of four sections:
Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems
Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems
Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior
Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills
Each section is designed to test different aspects of your knowledge and reasoning skills, ensuring you are well-prepared for the challenges of medical school.

Blueprint Live Course students had an average increase of 15 points from their first Blueprint Diagnostic Exam to their official AAMC MCAT score. The population of 54 students included all students who started their prep between January 7 and October 20, 2021, took the Blueprint Diagnostic first, attended at least 75% of live classes, answered a minimum of 1,500 questions, and provided their official score. To preserve the integrity of the study, one student was excluded for being an anomalous three-sigma outlier.
