Sam has been an instructor and tutor with Blueprint since March 2011 — albeit with a brief sojourn to earn a J.D. at Pepperdine Law. His journey to becoming one of Blueprint LSAT's most experienced instructors and tutors began in the scenic metropolis of Stockton, CA. Sam begrudgingly moved to Los Angeles for college, where he graduated from UCLA with a BA in Economics. Ever since, he has instructed students of all ages in a wide range of subjects, particularly math. In fact, Sam brings over 10 years of teaching experience to the field he enjoys most: the LSAT. Sam's love of teaching and tutoring the LSAT stems from his desire to see others succeed. He takes great joy in helping people with little or no familiarity with the LSAT develop such a thorough understanding of the test that their scores skyrocket. He also understands the fears and anxieties many people have about test-taking and law school admissions; handling and overcoming those fears are part of many of his favorite success stories. With a decade of experience in LSAT Prep, he has thoroughly enjoyed seeing his students thrive in law school and their legal careers. Fun Facts: Sam splits his spare time between visiting the beach and poring over sports statistics. His latest obsession is attempting to project hitting statistics for the upcoming baseball season. He recognizes that this in no way makes up for his lack of physical coordination.See more
Madelyn went to school at UCSB, studying Communication with minors in Professional Writing and Technology Management. While she loved living right next to the beach, she traded the ocean for skyscrapers when she moved to San Francisco after graduation. Now, she works full-time in sales and is in the process of applying to law school for Fall 2023. Madelyn was a Blueprint student herself for two years, and she is extremely excited to give back to the company that helped her improve her score by 20 points. In her free time, Madelyn serves as a head coach for her alma mater's mock trial time (she just can't get enough of the pre-law world). She is looking forward to using her coaching and studying experiences to help students achieve a score increase that makes them proud! Fun Facts: Madelyn can name any Taylor Swift song in under 3 seconds. She also named her cat after LeBron James. Her interests are all over the place. See more

Jacob studied Finance and Entrepreneurship at the University of Notre Dame, graduating in 2019 and returning home to the warmer climate in Arkansas. Working in Corporate Finance by day and binge-watching Suits by night, Jacob decided to give the LSAT a try after testifying at a fascinating work-related deposition. He quickly fell in love with the concepts while studying his way to a 175 on the October 2021 LSAT. A prolific arguer on all topics, Jacob especially loves to teach argument structure and common flaws in arguments. He also enjoys closely examining answer choices across each section, with an emphasis on helping his students spot patterns among tempting incorrect answer choices. When not thinking about the LSAT or working, Jacob is probably dominating the Chess board or embarrassing himself on the basketball court. Fun Fact: In addition to Suits, Jacob is a superfan of The Office, and begins each lesson with a quote from Michael Scott or Dwight Schrute. See more
Lorelei studies Math and Economics at Columbia University and will graduate in spring 2024. She is dedicated to her New York Times crossword streak and will do whatever it takes to finish the day's puzzle. To Lorelei, the LSAT is just another puzzle to crack, and she always frames the test as both fun and solvable. A class with her wouldn't be complete without simple breakdowns of complex logic, strategies for attacking all kinds of questions, and plenty of jokes along the way. Lorelei joined Blueprint as an instructor and tutor to help students level up their LSAT game. Fun fact: Lorelei is captain of the Columbia University Dance Team.See more

Emma grew up on the plains of Kansas before moving to the comparatively cosmopolitan outskirts of Boston. She attended Oklahoma Baptist University where she majored in political science and Spanish. During her time at OBU, she also led the school’s debate team and Oklahoma’s state collegiate moot court competition. Emma self-studied for the LSAT and scored a perfect 180 on test day! Her new goal is to bring that same dedication to the classroom while helping others improve their scores. Emma has come to love the LSAT’s special brand of complexity and solvability. Hot take: she loves diagramming. On a normal night you can find her working out the deeply thought-provoking question of what to cook for dinner. A new ramen recipe? Butter chicken? Or her all-time favorite, chili? Fun Fact: Emma unashamedly loves television. Some of her recent favorites include The Last of Us, Abbott Elementary, and Demon Slayer. She also enjoys watching shows in Spanish or Portuguese to keep up her language skills. Hence, Iron Chef Mexico is also on the list!See more
Abigail attended a STEM magnet program in high school and dreamed of becoming a neurosurgeon – until they auditioned for their school play and fell in love with theatre. 15 months later, Abigail began their new life as a double major in Theatre Performance and Humanitarian Studies at Fordham, and they haven’t looked back since. In 2020, Abigail discovered a passion for education, and they’ve worked with K-12 students in everything from devised theatre to AP Calculus. Yet their absolute favorite subject to teach is the LSAT! Standardized tests are in Abigail’s blood – they started taking the SAT when they were 10 years old – and out of all the tests they’ve encountered, the LSAT is by far the most learnable. They love helping students navigate the intricacies of the LSAT, ultimately turning a test that seems insurmountable into one that feels eminently conquerable. In their free time, Abigail loves sitting by the Central Park lakes, re-reading Brandon Sanderson books, and finding the all-time best Trader Joe’s snack (they’re always open to recommendations). Fun Fact: Abigail started watching The Bachelorette as a joke, but now, their love for reality dating shows is very real. Even more real than the shows themselves! They can (and have) talked for hours about how these shows only reflect what our society thinks reality “should” be. Yes, they’re a nerd about everything – even reality TV.See more

Ashton grew up in the Austin area before it was cool to live there, and returned home after stints in Memphis, Rome, New York City, and Houston. She still has dreams about the food in every one of those places, and found time in law school to visit the best dessert spots in NYC between classes, volleyball games, and cramming for finals. Ashton scored a 174 on the LSAT in 2015 and accepted a full ride to New York University School of Law. She's excited to help her Blueprint students achieve their LSAT dreams and reach their full potential. Ashton loves the logical reasoning section of the test and believes you can too: it's your socially acceptable chance to pick arguments apart for minor errors and get rewarded for it! Fun Facts: Ashton had a high school graduating class size of two people, and won back-to-back National Junior Classical League championships. She is also unreasonably invested in the University of Texas' volleyball team, and loves taking her Miniature Australian Shepherd dog Pancho for hikes in the Texas Hill Country. See more
Jackson grew up in Salt Lake City where he spent his winters skiing down the steepest Utah slopes he could find. When he began college he decided to study Chinese history and even took a few semesters learning ancient Chinese so he could read old books. Upon graduation, he took his passion of studying Chinese manuscripts and put it into LSAT preparation, which he was surprised to find that he thoroughly enjoyed. Excited to help others have good experiences with the LSAT, he found his passion for teaching and tutoring the LSAT at Blueprint. Jackson knows how life-changing a good LSAT score can be, and he helps his students remain optimistic and motivated even during the hardest stretches of their study schedules. He is also a strong advocate of staying mentally healthy while studying; he always has a couple relaxing Nintendo music compilations to recommend for decompressing after a long study session. Fun facts: Jackson is an avid concert goer and vinyl record collector. He’s seen over fifty concerts ranging from artists such as Kendrick Lamar to indie acts such as Summer Salt.See more

Linette spent most of her childhood on her grandparents’ farm in Romania before learning English and moving to the U.S. as a teenager. She eventually entered La Sierra University as a Pre-Dental student, but soon decided she felt more comfortable examining oral testimony than oral cavities, and switched to a pre-law track. After graduating and earning a 175 on the LSAT, Linette joined Blueprint as an instructor April 2019, leading many Live Online and in-person Blueprint LSAT courses. Linette understands that everyone learns differently, which is why she makes sure to adapt her classes and teaching style to her students' needs. She also believes it’s extremely important to celebrate the small victories along the way, preferably with some rocky road ice cream (although any dessert would be acceptable). In her free time, Linette likes to get back to her roots by backpacking and camping in the wild. Although there are no goats around, the occasional bear and deer make up for that. Fun Facts: Linette has traveled to every country in Europe, and also earned a 99th-percentile score on the Dental Admissions Test.See more
Steve is a music producer and composer who loves all forms of entertainment media and trying to figure out what makes some great and others horrendous. As an instructor and tutor for Blueprint since 2018, Steve has worked with dozens of students to tackle the LSAT and prepare themselves for law school. He spent countless hours with students working through tricky logical reasoning questions, complex logic games questions, and obtuse reading comprehension passages. In his studies, Steve was the rare double Bear, graduating from both undergraduate studies and law school at UC Berkeley. In undergrad, he earned honors in both Rhetoric and Legal Studies, culminating in a thesis on the intersection between Enlightenment era philosophy and Christopher Nolan’s Memento (no, really!). After law school, Steve spent a few years in civil litigation, ranging from working on intellectual property issues, researching and writing appellate briefs and motions, clerking for a judge in the federal court system, helping low-income individuals obtain life-or-death restraining orders and advocating for homeless rights. His teaching style centers on trying to make the LSAT approachable and fun by injecting a frequent number of dad jokes (despite not being a dad) and walking through the logic behind the test. When not teaching the LSAT, you can find Steve watching Rick and Morty on repeat and working on his compositions. Fun Facts: Steve makes and produces music under the stage name Swansonic.See more

Upon graduating from college, Gerry decided that spending his time avoiding growing up was far more desirable than any other option. After working as a touring musician, he then decided to spend time with people of a similar maturity level and became an elementary school teacher. One day, on a casual bike ride (from San Francisco to Los Angeles), Gerry decided that taking the LSAT sounded like a fun idea. He scored a 173, and soon joined Blueprint’s team of instructors and tutors. Gerry’s time teaching elementary school children and touring with temperamental musicians instilled a lot of patience in Gerry, making Gerry's teaching style laid back and empathetic. He enjoys incorporating anecdotes to help his students stay entertained and more vividly remember LSAT concepts. Gerry graduated from Northwestern Law cum laude in 2018 and has worked in commercial litigation. Gerry now splits his time teaching the LSAT, recording music, and taking the occasionally epiphanic bike ride through L.A. Fun Facts: Substituting quality for quantity, Gerry has learned to "fake it pretty well" on over 10 instruments and has performed with musicians ranging from Willie Nelson to Howie D (the guy from the Backstreet Boys with a ponytail).See more
When we say that Jason thoroughly understands the LSAT, we're not kidding. In addition to scoring a 176 and teaching LSAT prep since 2004, Jason studied psychometrics (that's the study of standardized tests) and quantitative research methods as part of his doctorate at UT Austin. He even wrote his dissertation on "flipping" an LSAT course. He's taught dozens of courses to hundreds of students in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Salt Lake City, Provo (UT), Austin, Houston, Ann Arbor (MI), St. Louis, New York City, and online. Jason loves teaching, and uses everything from classic 80's movie references to slightly mangled hip hop lyrics to help his students conquer the LSAT. Jason, his wife, and three daughters live in St. Louis, where he builds up the engineering faculty at Washington University in St. Louis by day and breaks down LSAT arguments by night. He's always up for a good conversation about film, books, gaming, politics, or the NBA, and firmly believes that the LSAT is one of the most learnable standardized tests in use. Fun Facts: As an Air Force brat growing up, Jason attended 11 different schools and lived in 14 houses before graduating from high school. Jason has lived in Utah (twice), Texas (three times), California, England, Germany (twice), Wyoming, Oregon, Michigan, and Missouri, and speaks German fluently and Spanish conversationally.See more

Felipe joined Blueprint LSAT as an instructor and tutor in 2019. Now, Felipe works as a day trader, math curriculum consultant, and LSAT instructor. He studied mathematics at Florida International University, and went on to work as the director of a math learning center that specializes in designing custom learning plans for students of all ages. It was there that Felipe discovered his passion for test prep, helping students prepare for tests like the GMAT, GRE, SAT, ACT, ASVAB and many more. Somewhere in the course of his long teaching career Felipe discovered that he absolutely LOVED to teach two tests in particular: the GMAT and the LSAT. He scored a 177 on his LSAT, and a 780 on his GMAT (earning a perfect score on the quantitative section, and a 99th-percentile score on the verbal section). Teaching the LSAT, Felipe helps his students develop strong, consistent strategies for each question type they'll encounter, and delivers his instruction in a way that makes sense to them. When he isn't working, Felipe spends his free time playing chess, watching movies, and arguing about sports. Fun Facts: After moving to the States as a child, Felipe learned to speak English in about two weeks, mostly from watching The Simpsons. As you could imagine, this got him in some hot water with his elementary school teachers.See more

Townes accidentally discovered her love for logic puzzles when she registered for an introductory logic course at UCLA in an effort to fulfill her general education requirements without taking any math classes (tip for the math haters). Townes wound up studying advanced formal logic and philosophy of language before graduating in 2019 with a double major in philosophy and French. Townes aims to build confidence in each of her students by encouraging them to celebrate their strengths and achievements. Her favorite section of the LSAT is Reading Comprehension. Fun Facts: Townes has watched every cooking competition show in existence, probably, and she believes that Guy's Grocery Games is vastly underrated.See more

Alex likes to spend his free time weightlifting, playing video games, and giving names to all the fish at the aquarium. Fun Fact: Alex has an unhealthy obsession with the fantasy author Brandon Sanderson and owns at least one copy of all 60 of his books.See more

Dylan attended Yale, where he represented the university's debate team and became the second person ever to be both a national debate champion and North American debate champion, and the only American undergrad to win Cambridge University's invitational tournament. He also found time to study philosophy; upon graduation, he realized the local philosophy factory wasn't hiring, and found work as a used car salesman, an online poker pro, and an MCAT instructor. Before long, Dylan found his true passion: teaching the LSAT. Dylan has taught countless one-on-one tutoring students and 50 LSAT courses with Blueprint since 2011, helping his students understand the LSAT, improve their score, and attend law school. Dylan believes strongly in using anticipation to find that right answer. He believes that putting the work in early on questions pays off dividends later on. He also believes strongly in using his dog Spaghetti as an example whenever possible, to help clarify difficult concepts on this exam. Fun Facts: In addition to asking him about his LSAT hacks, you can ask Dylan about cooking hacks he picked up as a professional cook. In fact, Dylan has never had a “normal” desk job: he’s been a professional gambler, used car salesman, cook, and longtime teacher.See more
After growing up in rainy Portland, OR, Grace attended college in Atlanta, GA. During those four years in Georgia, Grace worked as a researcher with the Emory Hospital Neurosurgery Department and as an organic chemistry TA — an experience which helped her discover a passion for helping others to unwind complicated puzzles. During that same time, Grace learned that she much preferred logic and writing to strict science and switched her pre-professional path from medicine to law. As a Blueprint alum and aspiring law student, Grace is thrilled to be returning to Blueprint as an instructor to help the next wave of future lawyers find success in their LSAT endeavors; she firmly believes that the LSAT is a fun puzzle that everyone has the ability to solve. In her free time, you’ll likely find her listening to Taylor Swift, carrying a camera around the streets of NYC, or lost in a book (probably Harry Potter or Percy Jackson for the 100th time). Fun Fact: Grace completed a four mile open ocean swim in the Bahamas when she was seventeen (it’s probably a good thing that she’s not afraid of sharks — they’re actually her favorite animal). Fun Facts: Linette has traveled to every country in Europe, and also earned a 99th-percentile score on the Dental Admissions Test.See more
Sean couldn't decide between rival schools, so he went to Texas A&M and then the University of Texas for law school. He discovered his passion for the LSAT and tutoring after earning a 177 on his LSAT (back when there were two Logical Reasoning sections—two is back again!) and has been teaching the exam (among others) since 2007. Sean loves the rigor of the LSAT—the rigor of the exam's construction and language, and the rigor necessary to do well. Sean is a full-time private teacher and tutor—in his spare time, he writes short fiction, misses way too many open threes playing basketball, and dotes on his one-year old. Fun Facts: Sean spent the bulk of the pandemic on the road with his fiancé, and eloped (after a cancelled wedding) in Oregon. Easy place to get married!See more

Chris is a veteran Blueprint instructor and tutor who has helped hundreds of students improve their LSAT scores since 2015. Before becoming one of Blueprint's most sought-after tutors and instructors, Chris took a unique route to the world of law and law school admissions tests. After graduating Cal State Fullerton, Chris spent three years working as a music journalist, interviewing the likes of Outkast, Jane's Addiction, and Weird Al. Chris eventually decided to switch things up and pursue a legal career. Chris graduated from Loyola Law School in 2006 and became a well-respected litigator, recognized by Super Lawyers' Rising Stars multiple times before opening his own legal practice in 2015. If all that wasn’t enough, Chris decided to start teaching the LSAT too, and has been one of Blueprint’s busiest instructors over the past five years. Chris’s experience with diverse personalities — from eccentric rock stars to stodgy judges — gave Chris the patience and persistence to help anyone studying the LSAT. When not teaching the LSAT or playing with his kids, Chris enjoys strumming '90s emo songs on his guitar, cheering on the LA Galaxy, or watching high-brow television with his wife like Big Brother or Bachelor in Paradise. Fun Facts: Chris was recognized by Super Lawyers' Rising Stars list in 2009, 2013, 2014, and 2017.See more
