Dylan
LSAT: 179
Blueprint LSAT instructor since 2011
Dylan has mastered the LSAT at the most foundational and first principle manner in which, he has complete mastery over anything that the LSAT test writers can potentially come up with. That displays a level of conceptual rigor and understanding, and nuanced comprehension of the testing structure, that can make a very meaningful difference for both new students to the LSAT, and also already high scorers whom intend to improve their score even more.
Dylan attended Yale, where he represented the university's debate team and became the second person ever to be both a national debate champion and North American debate champion, and the only American undergrad to win Cambridge University's invitational tournament. He also found time to study philosophy; upon graduation, he realized the local philosophy factory wasnāt hiring, and found work as a used car salesman, an online poker pro, and an MCAT instructor.
Before long, Dylan found his true passion: teaching the LSAT. Dylan has taught countless one-on-one tutoring students and 50 LSAT courses with Blueprint since 2011, helping his students understand the LSAT, improve their score, and attend law school. Dylan believes strongly in using anticipation to find that right answer. He believes that putting the work in early on questions pays off dividends later on. He also believes strongly in using his dog Spaghetti as an example whenever possible, to help clarify difficult concepts on this exam.
Fun Facts: In addition to asking him about his LSAT hacks, you can ask Dylan about cooking hacks he picked up as a professional cook. In fact, Dylan has never had a "normal" desk job: heās been a professional gambler, used car salesman, cook, and longtime teacher.

Gerry
LSAT: 174
Blueprint LSAT instructor since 2020
Gerry, especially, was so incredibly knowledgeable about everything LSATāfrom statistics of question types to how to answer specific questions. It was impressive how he could remember the wording of specific questions we worked on weeks ago or who had said what in what seminar. I cannot sing his praises enough; he made learning the LSAT really enjoyable.
Upon graduating from college, Gerry decided that spending his time avoiding growing up was far more desirable than any other option. After working as a touring musician, he then decided to spend time with people of a similar maturity level and became an elementary school teacher.
One day, on a casual bike ride (from San Francisco to Los Angeles), Gerry decided that taking the LSAT sounded like a fun idea. He scored a 174, and soon joined Blueprintās team of instructors and tutors. Gerryās time teaching elementary school children and touring with temperamental musicians instilled a lot of patience in Gerry, making Gerry's teaching style laid back and empathetic. He enjoys incorporating anecdotes to help his students stay entertained and more vividly remember LSAT concepts.
Gerry graduated from Northwestern Law cum laude in 2018 and has worked in commercial litigation. Gerry now splits his time teaching the LSAT, recording music, and taking the occasionally epiphanic bike ride through L.A.
Fun Facts: Substituting quality for quantity, Gerry has learned to "fake it pretty well" on over 10 instruments and has performed with musicians ranging from Willie Nelson to Howie D (the guy from the Backstreet Boys with a ponytail).

Navya
LSAT: 176
Blueprint LSAT instructor since 2022
I've been so impressed by Navya and Josh's ability to keep the class engaged and interactive despite the constraints of the Zoom class. Their sense of humour and energy kept it fun even while teaching some very tricky subject matter. And their patience and kindness were invaluable. They made a great team. I will not miss the LSAT but I will miss them
Navya has been working with rockstar students at Blueprint since 2022. She has an undergraduate degree in Arts & Sciences from McMaster University and is currently in law school at the University of Toronto. When not attending lectures or doing readings, Navya embraces her inner grandmother: her favourite pastimes are knitting, doing jigsaw puzzles, and cooking enough food to feed an army.
The oldest of three, Navya's first students were her younger siblings (often against their will). Since then, she's taught and tutored people of all ages and abilities ā including coaching herself to a 176 on the LSAT. As Blueprint's first Canadian hire, Navya's love for the LSAT truly transcends borders. She's excited to be helping you on your journey!
Fun Facts: Navya has MANY opinions about classic literature. However, odds are she hasn't actually read the book she's currently going on about. (Unless it's Jane Austen or L. M. Montgomery, in which case she definitely has.)

Linette
LSAT: 175
Blueprint LSAT instructor since 2019
Linette goes above and beyond to make sure her students understand and ask the right questions. And, she gives good insights in solving questions, and also gives the right method to approach questions that may seem confusing at first.
Linette spent most of her childhood on her grandparentsā farm in Romania before learning English and moving to the U.S. as a teenager. She eventually entered La Sierra University as a Pre-Dental student, but soon decided she felt more comfortable examining oral testimony than oral cavities, and switched majors to Pre-Law. After graduating and earning a 175 on the LSAT, Linette joined Blueprint as an instructor April 2019, leading many Live Online and in-person Blueprint LSAT courses.
Linette understands that everyone learns differently, which is why she makes sure to adapt her classes and teaching style to her students' needs. She also believes itās extremely important to celebrate the small victories along the way, preferably with some rocky road ice cream (although any dessert would be acceptable). In her free time, Linette likes to get back to her roots by backpacking and camping in the wild. Although there are no goats around, the occasional bear and deer make up for that.
Fun facts: Linette has traveled to every country in Europe, and also earned a 99th-percentile score on the Dental Admissions Test.

Amanda grew up in Southern California before moving to New York to attend NYU, where she double majored in journalism and English, with a minor in politics. Fluent in Swedish and currently learning German, she loves learning languages and found that approaching the LSAT like a new language to decipher and master reframed studying as a fun challenge.

In her free time, Amanda enjoys writing poetry, traveling to try new restaurants, and collecting rare books.

Ashton
LSAT: 174
Education: New York University School of Law, J.D.; Rhodes College, B.A., Greek and Roman Studies.
Ashton grew up in the Austin area before it was cool to live there, and returned home after stints in Memphis, Rome, New York City, and Houston. She still has dreams about the food in every one of those places, and found time in law school to visit the best dessert spots in NYC between classes, volleyball games, and cramming for finals. Ashton scored a 174 on the LSAT in 2015 and accepted a full ride to New York University School of Law. She's excited to help her Blueprint students achieve their LSAT dreams and reach their full potential. Ashton loves the logical reasoning section of the test and believes you can too: it's your socially acceptable chance to pick arguments apart for minor errors and get rewarded for it!
Fun Facts: Ashton had a high school graduating class size of two people, and won back-to-back National Junior Classical League championships. She is also unreasonably invested in the University of Texas' volleyball team, and loves taking her Miniature Australian Shepherd dog Pancho for hikes in the Texas Hill Country.

Auryon
LSAT: 177
Education: Harvard Law School Junior Deferral Program; Eastern Michigan University, B.A., Economics and Political Science
A national champion in collegiate Speech and Debate, Auryon spent years honing his communication skills, informing audiences about Deep Brain Stimulation or making them laugh about how we mispronounce names (itās ARE-yawn). But while winning trophies was fun, he found his real passion to be coaching others to achieve similar success. Nowhere is this more true than the LSAT.
Auryon understands the transformative (and sometimes fear-inducing) power of an LSAT score- but he also knows that the studying process can be exciting, enjoyable, and incredibly rewarding. He hopes to make everyoneās LSAT experience the same as his: get the answers right, and make the preparation process an opportunity for personal growth. People learn differently, and Auryon loves working with students to find the learning style that suits them best; he believes doing so can make even the most daunting sections feel like an old friend.
When he isnāt tutoring the LSAT, Auryon enjoys traveling to national parks, playing Chess and Settlers of Catan, and watching basketball. He starts Harvard Law in Fall 2025.

Caroline
LSAT: 177
As a philosophy major and bioethics minor at Wake Forest, Caroline has spent years exploring how people think, reason, and make decisions. Although these skills came in handy while tackling the LSAT, it was thanks to Blueprint that this alum raised her score 25 points from an original diagnostic of 152 to an official score of 177. Having returned as a tutor and instructor while still completing her undergraduate degree, Caroline knows first hand what itās like to balance classes, applications, jobs, and test prep. That empathy shapes her tutoring style: patient, encouraging, and grounded in a belief that every student can improve with the right approach.
Caroline is pursuing her masterās in bioethics and plans to attend law school shortly after, with the goal of working in healthcare law to ensure that ethical principles guide policy and patient care. She loves serving others, having volunteered over 1,000 hours at free healthcare clinics in Winston-Salem and dedicating her time to mentoring at a local high school with Young Life. Caroline views teaching the LSAT as another form of service, helping students to reach their full potential and setting them up to achieve their dreams!

Casey
LSAT: 176
Casey grew up in the Pacific Northwest, spent a few years away to attend college in D.C., and returned home for his career as a TV news reporter. He has a passion for breaking down complex concepts and making them easy to understand, and developed a reputation in the field for his unique in-depth explanatory videos and fact-checks.
While working as a reporter, Casey noticed over and over that he especially enjoyed covering stories about the law. Eternally curious, he decided to try taking the LSAT. He found himself really enjoying studying for the test; it was a new avenue to explore his love for language and obsession with little details. With the help of Blueprint he was soon regularly scoring in the 170s on practice tests (and one much-coveted 180), and achieved his target score on the real test. He realized he could meld that achievement with his passion for explaining stuff, and linked up with Blueprint to help more people reach their goals.

Before getting into the wacky zany world of law school test preparation, Gene produced morning radio in NYC, did crank calls for 600 radio stations, and produced stand-up comedy shows at the Improv and New York Comedy Club. He parlayed this experience into his mantra of "Make the LSAT fun!" that fits the Blueprint ethos quite nicely, even though he's still downtrodden about the loss of Logic Games.
When he's not teaching the LSAT, Gene enjoys spending time with his two daughters, playing electric guitar, keeping his basketball skills sharp, and finally took up pickleball to see what all the hype was about.

After embarrassing himself plenty of times, Haaris has become a big believer of sticking with it. He loves bringing that same energy to his classes to motivate his students.

Jason
LSAT: 176
When we say that Jason thoroughly understands the LSAT, we're not kidding. In addition to scoring a 176 and teaching LSAT prep since 2004, Jason studied psychometrics (that's the study of standardized tests) and quantitative research methods as part of his doctorate at UT Austin. He even wrote his dissertation on "flipping" an LSAT course.
He's taught dozens of courses to hundreds of students in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Salt Lake City, Provo (UT), Austin, Houston, Ann Arbor (MI), St. Louis, New York City, and online. Jonathan
LSAT: 173
Education: University of Chicago, M.A., Digital Humanities; University of Chicago, B.A., Classics
Jonathan is a recent graduate from the University of Chicago, where he pursued a joint-degree BA in Classics and MA in Digital Humanities. Throughout college, Jonathan was active in community service and tutoring students from a variety of backgrounds. Eventually, he realized he was much more interested in logical reasoning than programming and decided to combine his passion for teaching with tutoring the LSAT.
A Chicago resident, Jonathan has had his fair share of āOpeā (Midwestern āoopsā) moments while studying for the LSAT and recognizes that progress can be difficult, elusive, but ultimately rewarding. As such, Jonathan works hard to adjust the learning materials for each individual student and emphasizes the importance of consistency and encouragement in reaching oneās goals. Some say that the LSAT is like a marathon; after having done both, Jonathan agrees that both require dedicated training, a knowledgeable support system, and plenty of sleep for optimal performance (He prefers the LSAT).

That's why her free time is full of teaching Blueprint classes, coaching her college's mock trial team, and volunteering with her high school's speech and debate team. Rather, the most important things she learned were empathy, teamwork, and diligence -- qualities that now define her instruction. She shows up to each class with the mentality that if she could earn a 20 point increase by taking Blueprint's Live Course, each of her students can too. She hopes to learn with you soon!

In her own studies for the LSAT, Mella became semi-obsessed with the legal reasoning section, which she attributes to the Blueprint method. She loves finding flaws in arguments and helping others begin to spot them too. Her aim is to guide students towards their own personal ālight-bulbā moments, helping the LSAT feel like a solve-able puzzle!
In her free time, Mella teaches open ballet classes, drinks a lot of matcha, and goes swimming in Lake Michigan (when the weather permits).
Fun Facts: Mella is left-handed and a twinā a pretty rare combo!

Education: Boston College, B.A., Philosophy
Nick attended Boston College, studying Philosophy and receiving the Bapst Philosophy prize. Alongside the award he received the following advice: āPhilosophy opens up two careers, Teaching or Law.ā In a moment of insight, he decided to combine the two by teaching future lawyers!
Nick has been a tutor since 2020, and joined Blueprint as an instructor and tutor in April, 2025. With a 178 on the LSAT, and experience as a science teacher, Nick knows what it takes to get difficult concepts to āclickā for students. His time as a middle school teacher taught him how to tutor with empathy, patience, and a dash of humor. Nick is committed to helping students master the test and experience their own āclickā moments on the path to becoming great lawyers. When not teaching, Nick enjoys reading with his two baby girls.
Fun Facts: Out of an abundance of pandemic era stir-craziness, Nick and his father built an airplane in their garage in 2020.

Oscar
LSAT: 177
After graduating college with a bachelorās in vague studies and an internship at the unemployment factory, Oscarās future looked uncertain. His attempts at starting careers as a mountain climber, a kiteboarder, and a skier all fizzled when the $0/year salary failed to keep up with his expenses. Eventually, he made the choice to earn his keep by standing up for people who actually did have jobs, and became a full-time union organizer.
But after working for a couple years, Oscar figured that he needed a change of pace from constantly āleaving his bedroomā and āgoing outside.ā So, he tore his ACL and spent several weeks in his bed in the dark. This period of sensory deprivation made Oscar so deranged that he decided he wanted to be a lawyer, which is why he can (kind of) honestly say that he has been studying the LSAT since before he could walk.
Oscar scored a 177 on the LSAT, and is confident that anyone with patience and dedication can learn to decode it. His experience explaining contracts and labor law as a union organizer helped him develop the ability to break down complex ideas in ways that anyone can understand, and his teaching style is conversational and interactive. When heās not teaching the LSAT or working with his labor union, Oscar can be found at home reading or out on one of the PNWās many hiking trails.
Fun Facts: Oscar speaks Spanish (well) and Swedish (sort of well). He has climbed the tallest mountain in Washington State, the tallest mountain in Vietnam, and the tallest escalator in Washington, D.C. after it got stuck.

Patrick
LSAT: 172
Education: Duke University School of Law, J.D., Notre Dame, B.A., Liberal Studies
Patrick attended the University of Notre Dame, where he completed a classical education in the arts, history, literature, natural science, philosophy, politics, and theology. With his preparation for cocktail parties complete, he moved on to Duke University, picking up his law degree. A true Jack of all trades, Patrick has worked for appellate judges, private law firms, and startup software companies, but he is most inspired when he's shepherding his LSAT students toward their law school dreams. In class, Patrick considers himself a Logical Reasoning guru, taking great care to unravel the logic of each question type and demystify even the most opaque of questions.
Fun Facts: A distance runner and pizza-making aficionado, Patrick finds his hobbies to complement each other, as he can just barely outrun his appetite.

Ross
LSAT: 173
Ross has a penchant for frustrating hobbies (heās the author of thousands of failed tricks, missed waves, and unforced errors when skating, surfing, and playing tennis), so itās perhaps no surprise that he was attracted to a frustrating test like the LSAT. Even after graduating from USC Law in 2013, he couldnāt escape the fierce grasp of this wily exam.
So, Ross decided to start helping other people with the LSAT in 2014. Since then, heās worked as an LSAT teacher and content creator. Heās led dozens of in-person and online courses, tutored hundreds of students, helped develop several LSAT courses, created hundreds of written and video LSAT explanations, written many articles about the exam for several outlets, and has hired, trained, and mentored dozens of other LSAT instructors. Heās been around this test for a long time. But heās never become bored thinking about the test or helping his students achieve life-changing score increases.
Although Ross enjoys the LSATās challenging nature, he knows that not everyone shares his enthusiasm for being humbled by a standardized test. So, Ross strives to create a comfortable and convivial learning environment in which asking questions and making mistakes are embraced as integral parts of the learning process. Ross also tries to meet every student on their level, demystifying the LSAT through a series of colorful, intuitive examples and analogies heās built up over a decade in the field. After clarifying the test, Ross aims to show how his students already possess much of the reading and analytical skills needed for the LSAT ā they just need a little nudge to apply these skills to the LSAT.
Fun Facts: Not to date himself, but Ross once won a water bottle on the ā90s Nickelodeon game show What Would You Do?

Sam
LSAT: 174
Education: Education: Pepperdine Caruso School of Law, J.D.; University of California, Los Angeles, B.A., Economics
Sam has been an instructor and tutor with Blueprint since March 2011 ā albeit with a brief sojourn to earn a J.D. at Pepperdine Law. His journey to becoming one of Blueprint LSAT's most experienced instructors and tutors began in the scenic metropolis of Stockton, CA. Sam begrudgingly moved to Los Angeles for college, where he graduated from UCLA with a BA in Economics. Ever since, he has instructed students of all ages in a wide range of subjects, particularly math. In fact, Sam brings over 10 years of teaching experience to the field he enjoys most: the LSAT.
Sam's love of teaching and tutoring the LSAT stems from his desire to see others succeed. He takes great joy in helping people with little or no familiarity with the LSAT develop such a thorough understanding of the test that their scores skyrocket. He also understands the fears and anxieties many people have about test-taking and law school admissions; handling and overcoming those fears are part of many of his favorite success stories. With a decade of experience in LSAT Prep, he has thoroughly enjoyed seeing his students thrive in law school and their legal careers.
Fun Facts: Sam splits his spare time between visiting the beach and poring over sports statistics. His latest obsession is attempting to project hitting statistics for the upcoming baseball season. He recognizes that this in no way makes up for his lack of physical coordination.

Ted
LSAT: 177
Education: Southern Adventist University, B.A., Communication and History, Minor in Religion (In Progress, Grad. May 2025)
Ted is a history guy. He was the president of the history club at his college and knows the names of every Roman Emperor (feel free to put him to the test!). He loves analyzing logic from historical figures (almost) as much as tackling LSAT Logical Reasoning questions. In his free time, you can find him debating with his friends arguments from Plato, to the Apostle Paul, to the Quran. But the most exciting thing for him is connecting with students and watching them grow. He has always had a passion for teaching. After taking the LSAT himself, he decided to make sure other students are able to achieve their LSAT dreams too.
Ted joined blueprint in April, 2024 as an instructor and tutor. Committed to the idea that with enough practice any person can achieve any score they want, Ted makes the complicated and unapproachable parts of the test familiar and conquerable. He has been tutoring since he was in 8th grade and loves getting to know his students and learning their individual strengths and weaknesses.
Fun Facts: Ted also loves video games. As a kid, his passion for history was sparked by the Assassin's Creed games and Age of Empires.

I feel extremely relieved knowing that my score alone makes me a really competitive applicant. This gives me way more optionality during the application process; it becomes a question of finding the right match as opposed to finding a school that will take me!
