Since 2017, Kimberly has taught in many different subjects and settings. She loves connecting with students and helping them engage with content. One of her favorite things about teaching is watching a student nail a problem or concept that they’d previously gotten wrong, and she’s always looking for ways to promote long term retention in her lesson plans. Having achieved an 100 th percentile MCAT score, Kim is excited to share her tips and tricks for various MCAT topics. Outside of school and work, you can catch Kim with her nose buried in a high-fantasy novel or scouring Spotify for new music.See more
MCAT: 518 Education: Pitzer College, Biology major Ty loves learning about nature and the science underpinning the complexity of the beautiful world around him. Preparing for the MCAT allowed for his synthesis of a lot of that knowledge, and while he’d never admit to it on the MCAT subreddit page, he thoroughly enjoyed his MCAT studying process. While he understands the stress that students are under and the pressure to progress quickly, his connection to MCAT content and his drive to have others fall in love with it serves as a valuable asset in his didactic style. Ty scored in the 99% percentile in the CARS section and thinks that logical reasoning can be greatly improved with practice. Ty is applying to med school in this upcoming cycle. He enjoys playing sports too aggressively, gathering wild mushrooms, and brewing his own beer. See more

Abbey believes the key to success on the MCAT is confidence, and builds a positive and collaborative classroom environment. She loves to break down complex concepts and passages in ways that are approachable, equipping students with strategies to do the same on test day. To her, the best part of teaching is seeing the growth in her students, both in their knowledge and in their mindset. Abbey served as an associate instructor in Organic and Inorganic Chemistry before joining Blueprint as an instructor and tutor in 2022. Outside the classroom, Abbey has studied antimicrobial resistance in an infectious disease lab and worked as a patient care technician in a medical-surgical unit. She is currently training for her third marathon, dabbling in sourdough baking, and traveling as much as possible before matriculating at Feinberg School of Medicine in August 2023. See more
Matt started out as a teaching assistant for college engineering courses in 2017 and has been passionate about teaching and tutoring ever since. He believes the combination of a supportive learning environment and a focus on students' personal obstacles is vital to student success and improvement. He got a perfect 132 on the Bio/Biochem portion of the MCAT and likes to emphasize the importance of critical thinking skills even on content-heavy areas of the MCAT. Matt is currently an MD/PhD student at the University of Massachusetts, where he is interested in cancer-related immunological research. In his free time, he loves to cook, compete in frisbee, and play board games. See more

Austin has been a standardized testing instructor since 2018. As a non-traditional premed, he has always enjoyed teaching students from diverse intellectual backgrounds and tailoring study plans to each student’s unique learning style. Austin scored a perfect 132 on the CARS and the Psych/Soc sections of the MCAT and believes that closely analyzing practice results is key to making large improvements on test day. He currently works as a psychiatry extern at Mount Sinai hospital in New York City and spends his free time skateboarding, rock climbing, and watching the Sacramento Kings lose.See more
Luke began tutoring students in biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, and genetics as well lecturing for an undergraduate course at Baylor in 2021. He knows the MCAT is a puzzle to be solved and views it as an opportunity for students to show off the knowledge and skills that they develop during prep! To Luke, teaching the MCAT is about much more than explaining content; he knows that empowering students with confidence and equipping them with specific strategies is the key to student success. Having studied for the exam while taking a full course load and working a part-time job, Luke knows that every second of studying counts. Luke achieved a perfect 132 on the Chem/Phys section of the MCAT and enjoys breaking down even the most daunting of passages into easily digestible snippets. Luke volunteers at a local clinic and also serves as a classroom leader with 3-year-olds at his local church. He loves to bring laughter, enthusiasm, and encouragement to all of his MCAT teaching sessions. In his spare time, you can usually find Luke on the pickleball court or cooking with his wife!See more

Trevor has been teaching the MCAT since 2020 and believes that tutoring not only serves the purpose of helping students better understand difficult material, but also provides them with the opportunity to discover how they learn best. He most enjoys being a part of those breakthrough moments when a certain learning approach just seems to click and previously difficult material begins to be understood with ease. Prior to becoming a tutor, Trevor worked as a clinical EMT in the MedSurg/ICU department of a critical access hospital and enjoys spending his free time either grilling, snowboarding, or competitively powerlifting. For Sarah, teaching is a cherished opportunity to help students develop the confidence to achieve their dreams. She has been teaching since 2016 and knows how to create a positive, engaging learning environment and tailor her lessons to any student’s needs. On her official MCAT, she achieved a 100th percentile score and earned a perfect 132 on the Chem/Phs and Psych/Soc sections alongside maintaining a 4.0 GPA - without memorizing every little test-taking detail! Outside the classroom, Sarah is passionate about medical and technology innovation. She is a NASA Space Grant Awardee for her biophysics research, previously led her undergraduate research group to study hydroponics-based agriculture, and is currently founding a statewide disability health services resource. She is excited to matriculate into Baylor College of Medicine’s MSTP where she will earn her MD at Baylor and complete her PhD in Bioengineering at Rice University. In her free time, she loves curling up with some tea and binging sci-fi books, playing Minecraft, or exploring the outdoors. See more

Ali majored in biology at the American University of Beirut, and later completed graduate work in molecular evolution. He served as a TA for biology, biochemistry, and statistics classes in graduate school, and he's been guiding students to reach their MCAT goals for the last 12 years. The core of his teaching philosophy is the belief that any student, given enough time and structure, is capable of learning the content background, acquiring the reasoning skills, and gaining the test experience necessary to be successful on the MCAT. When he’s not teaching, Ali is cooking, hiking, or following sports. Here’s what Ali’s recent students had to say about working with him: "I hope your summer is going well! I just wanted to send you a quick thank you for being such a great resource and teacher throughout my MCAT study journey. I took the exam on June 28th and got my results back yesterday. I scored a 524! I'm really happy and know for sure that I wouldn't have been able to do that well without all of your help. You are awesome!! " - Kaitlin M (diagnostic 504). "Ali -- I'm shaking!! I got a 523. Thank you SO much for all of your help and encouragement during the past 6 months. I appreciate you so much! Time to go celebrate :D" - Danielle R (diagnostic 503). "Hi Ali! Got a 522! It says 99 percentile. Good enough to be done, right? (that was a joke)" - Lauren G (diagnostic 502). See more
Hannah sees each of her students as an individual with their own strengths and learning style that works for them. She is always willing to adapt to a student’s needs and sees teaching as a partnership, not just a service. As someone who has taught not only Physics, AP Chemistry, and a university Anatomy and Physiology course, but also essay writing, experimental probe operation, and vocal technique, she knows that different students and different subjects call for unique approaches to match. Most importantly, Hannah knows that the MCAT is a challenge that ANYONE can conquer, given the right tools, preparation, and attitude. Hannah got a 131 in three sections, including CARS — the result of her balanced, all-rounder approach to both the sciences and the humanities. She is currently in medical school, volunteers in education programs for children with vision loss, and loves movies, board games, dancing, and making cocktails."See more

Avery has been peer tutoring since 2019. For Avery, education has always been about quality over quantity. They are a big advocate for healthy study habits and living a fulfilling life. Maintaining a full-time job, attending concerts, and going on thrift hauls were pivotal parts of Avery’s MCAT journey. With a score of 131 in 3 out of 4 sections of the test… it seems to have worked out pretty well for them. Avery loves talking shop about new and creative ways to master content and is always brimming with psychological theories to back it up. Speaking of theories, Avery is working on their thesis in the clinical psychology of pain at the Michael G. Degroot Chronic Pain Clinic at McMaster University Hospital. Avery is also ramping up for their first year of medical school at McMaster. When they aren’t working on their research or studying, you can catch Avery performing drag, tending to their garden, and looking after their pet fish.See more
Avery loves her role as an MCAT educator, because she can offer support to students during a crucial time in their pre-med journeys. After scoring a perfect 132 on both the Chem/Phys and Psych/Soc sections and earning a 99th percentile score, Avery has been working to help students achieve MCAT success with Blueprint since 2021. She likes to remind students that success on the MCAT has three components: a robust foundation of content knowledge, refined strategy skills, and a strong testing headspace. She encourages students to work smarter and not harder when deciding which of these areas needs more attention. Avery lives in sunny San Diego and spends her free time surfing and playing guitar.See more

A former varsity athlete, Sammy knows the importance of setting a routine and finding opportunity in challenging moments— especially with MCAT studying. Sammy took the MCAT twice and sees tutoring as a way to help students make the proper adjustments in study habits and critical thinking skills in order to crush the MCAT. With a perfect 132 on the Psych/Soc section, Sammy wants to remind students that with confidence and strong problem-solving skills, you don’t need to memorize everything to achieve a perfect score. In the past few years, Sammy has TA’d multiple science classes at Stanford and taught emergency medical curriculum to high schoolers. At Stanford, Sammy currently teaches college sophomores in Human Biology and volunteers as an EMT. In her spare time, you can find Sammy posting to her dog Nigel’s Instagram, watching football, or spending time on the water or the mountains. See more
