Mediha
MCAT Score: 517
Education: Western Governors University, MS Learning Experience Design & Educational Technology, Wayne State University, BS Biological Sciences (Honors)
Mediha has been a supplemental instructor and tutor for the college sciences since 2021. Mediha values getting to understand the needs, interests and preferred learning styles of her students. Having gone through the process, she believes the key to score growth is intentional reflection on strategy implementation and content knowledge gaps. When internalized, this naturally leads to a growth mindset. Her favorite moments are when memorized facts transform into deeper, 'aha,' conceptual understandings for a student.
As a Knowles Teaching Fellow, Mediha spends her weekdays as a high school science teacher. In her spare time, Mediha enjoys walks in nature, vlogging, and teaching her cat, Pinki, tricks.

Andrew
MCAT Score: 527
Education: University of Chicago, BA in Biological Sciences, University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, MD
Andy served as a TA for five introductory biology courses at UChicago from 2022 to 2024. For Andy, the MCAT is a test that each person must approach slightly differently, but through hard work and lots of practice, everyone can turn it from an obstacle into an opportunity to prove to medical schools how much they know. As someone who achieved a perfect 132 on the Bio/Biochem, Chem/Phys, and Psych/Soc sections after studying while taking full-time classes and working a job, Andy knows achieving the perfect balance is key to both MCAT success and personal wellbeing. A foodie and avid board game connoisseur, Andy hopes to work with students to develop the foundational knowledge and key strategies that will allow them to hone their unique MCAT approach to be successful.
Andy will be starting medical school in fall 2024 at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine on a full-tuition merit scholarship. In his spare time, Andy loves to read, travel, play board games, and try new restaurantsSee more
Education: Reed College, BA English, Creative Thesis, Bryn Mawr, PhD, Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine, MD
Henry is a second year med student at OHSU. has been teaching since graduating college in 2011. He has taught in numerous contexts, from rural Rwanda to a wilderness youth corps to an American high school. This experience has left Henry a strong believer in getting to truly know his students, listening to understand how they learn, and adapting to meet every student where they are. He especially loves opportunities to work with students on the subjects they struggle with. Henry scored a 132 on CARS and likes to remind students that careful reading helps with every section of the test, not just CARS. In his spare time, Henry likes to spend time outdoors (hiking, biking, and anything involving a boat), play his drums, and read bad fantasy novels.See more

For Abigail, the love of tutoring lies in the magic of helping students have a ‘eureka’ moment - that moment when a crazy, scary concept gets blown up into little fundamentals that build upon each other into a story that just makes sense. Abigail has been tutoring the premedical sciences since 2019, and is committed to only tutoring subjects that originally gave her a great deal of trouble because she is a firm believer that academic excellence lies not in possessing natural talent, but rather in in developing consistency, strategy, and incorporating a little bit of fun and levity along the way.
With this mindset, Abigail was able to earn a 96th percentile score with a 132 in P/S and she is a firm believer that doing well on the MCAT lies in the marriage of basic science and reading comprehension fundamentals with employable strategies that allow you to snipe correct answers with efficiency and confidence. She can’t wait to help you on your beautiful journey of becoming a physician because it feels like just yesterday she was in your shoes wondering just how her MCAT journey was going to play out.
As a member of the UMiami MD Class of 2029, Abigail is spending her deferral year traveling and adding countries to her Been app, splashing around in her ridiculous above the ground pool, waitressing at a local BBQ joint, and spending quality time with her family and teddy-bear cut poodle named Kaplan.
