MCAT 515+ Course Student
Blueprint played a crucial role in preparing me for the MCAT by addressing gaps in my content knowledge and equipping me with test-taking strategies. My initial diagnostic score was 495, but after several weeks of content review through their modules and attending office hours, I saw score improvements, ultimately achieving a score of 515 on the actual exam.

Michelle +15 points
MCAT 515+ Course Student
Being a non-traditional applicant 8 years out of undergrad, I was unable to recall most MCAT subject knowledge. I attempted to self-study, but the content was just so overwhelming that I knew I needed more. Blueprint MCAT gave me the necessary structure to help me raise my 500 to a 515 without ever feeling like the workload was too much.

Megan +16 points
MCAT 515+ Course Student
The resources were very representative of the test itself and by working through the Blueprint curriculum I was set up to feel confident going into test day...There is such a variety of tools that helped me to understand topics that I had not previously learned as well as gain insight to the test itself and learn strategies from instructors who had done very well themselves.

With MCAT prep being such a big investment, I wanted to make sure I was getting the best value and a course that would be genuinely helpful. After checking out various options, Blueprint seemed like the perfect fit. I learn best by listening and actively working through practice questions, and Blueprint’s modules really matched my learning style.

Michelle +17 points
MCAT 515+ Course Student
I believe that Blueprint helped me prepare well for the MCAT because of the synchronous instruction, well structured course plan involving self-study assignments, and helpful practice tests. Because of this, I was able to increase my score from a 506 on my diagnostic test to a 523 on the actual MCAT.

If you’ve been struggling to find a flow with your studying or your confidence is low when you think about a test as daunting as the MCAT you can really count on Blueprint to lift you back up. When I was starting I felt the same and Blueprint really helped ground me and made me feel like I could do it, the investment is worth it.

To me, the most valuable aspect of the course was the support system of instructors and tutors that truly wish to see others succeed. From structured content review to personalized studying tips and advice on stress management, etc., I believe my Blueprint instructors Zasca and Nicole played a large role in my score increase.

Alexandra +20 points
MCAT 515+ Course Student
I was studying for the MCAT as a full-time college student, scribing at a hospital and participating in various on-campus extracurricular activities. I got a 496 on my MCAT diagnostic exam. However, with the support and accountability that the Blueprint course provided me, I was able to get a 516 on my actual MCAT six months later.

Alexander
MCAT Score: 524
Education: University of Florida, BS Statistics , Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine, MD
For Alex, MCAT instruction is focused on understanding the individual student and developing sustainable study habits that will persist into medical school and beyond. He most enjoys it when students start to love subjects that were initially frustrating to them. Alex received a perfect 132 on the Chem/Phys section and loves reminding students of interconnected science concepts. He helps students develop strategies and critical thinking skills to answer questions correctly, even in content they have never seen before. His background in Statistics provides students with the necessary data literacy essential to all MCAT sections. Currently, Alex leads Music for Medicine, a nonprofit dedicated to connecting individuals in central Florida with intellectual and developmental disabilities to local high school and collegiate musicians. As an aspiring physician, he hopes to pursue a career in academic medicine, focusing on disabilities in society, the humanities in medicine, and artificial intelligence in medicine. Alex loves to swim, bake, and play tennis in his free time.See more

Hellen
MCAT Score: 522
Education: Boston University, BS Chemistry, University of Connecticut, MS Molecular and Cell Biology
Hellen has been teaching and tutoring since 2018. Working with students from varying backgrounds, ages, and experiences, she knows that there is no single “right” way to think or learn. The MCAT is an intimidating experience for many people and the months leading up to it can be overwhelming and stressful, but it doesn't have to be. Studying for the MCAT after taking several gap years and while working a full-time job, she believes that the key to successful test preparation is finding balance. With so many accessible resources, blogs, and recommendations it's easy to spread yourself thin, wasting precious time and mental bandwidth on ineffective prep strategies. To Hellen, it’s not just about the hours spent studying but also managing your schedule, taking care of your physical health, and maintaining your mental well-being. Using a balanced approach, Hellen scored a perfect 132 on the Psych/Soc section and is passionate about helping students understand their unique learning style to curate effective study plans and reach their goals. In her spare time, she can be found traveling to new cities, developing her coffee-making skills, or tackling a new fitness challenge. See more

Bilal
MCAT Score: 523
Education: University of California, Los Angeles, BS Physiological Sciences
As a student who faced challenges when preparing to take the MCAT, Bilal understands the mental struggles that come with taking the MCAT beyond the content knowledge. The MCAT is a high-pressure exam and test anxiety is real. Bilal loves to provide the confidence and reassurance for his students to work through that anxiety to reach their true potential. Having tutored undergraduate chemistry and biology since 2020, he has experience working with a variety of students and learning styles. Bilal scored a perfect 132 on the Psych/Soc section of the MCAT, and believes that everyone has the potential to achieve similar success. While the content is the most intimidating aspect of the MCAT, proper strategies and test-taking tips are almost nearly as important in being able to crack the MCAT. Watching students work through problems and have those ""lightbulb"" moments are the highlights of his time spent teaching. He hopes to experience those moments with all the students he works with! Currently, Bilal works as a healthcare consultant at a healthcare consulting firm in Los Angeles. When not working, Bilal loves to surf the waves, play beach volleyball, hit the gym, or play chess (despite being not the greatest at it)."See more

Ganen
MCAT Score: 526
Education: University of Pennsylvania, BS Neuroscience, Perelman School of Medicine, MD
Since embarking on his teaching journey in 2022, Ganen has found a deep sense of fulfillment in guiding peers through the challenging subjects like Organic Chemistry II and in volunteering with local high schoolers in West Philadelphia. There is something incredibly rewarding about watching a concept click for a student who previously struggled with it. This transformation from uncertainty to confidence, is what fuels his passion for teaching. Ganen's personal academic journey is marked by achieving perfect scores of 132 in both the Chemistry/Physics and Psychology/Sociology sections of the MCAT while balancing a full course load. These scores are a testament to the power of strategic studying, proving that with the right approach, the MCAT does not have to be daunting. Ganen is currently looking forward to starting medical school at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in the fall of 2024. In his spare time, Ganen finds joy and relaxation in baking, watching/playing basketball (avid Oklahoma City Thunder fan!), and weightlifting.See more

Taylor has over 10 years of experience in tutoring and teaching anything from swim lessons to bioengineering courses. As a full-time premium tutor and instructor for Blueprint for nearly 2 years, she loves getting to work with students from a wide variety of backgrounds and tailoring content and strategy to meet them where they are. Taylor earned a 99th percentile MCAT score with perfect 132s on both CARS and Psych/Soc. She wants to help each of her students achieve their own goal scores by building a toolbox of diverse tricks and strategies that go beyond content knowledge alone. Mediha
MCAT Score: 517
Education: Western Governors University, MS Learning Experience Design & Educational Technology, Wayne State University, BS Biological Sciences (Honors)
Mediha has been a supplemental instructor and tutor for the college sciences since 2021. Mediha values getting to understand the needs, interests and preferred learning styles of her students. Having gone through the process, she believes the key to score growth is intentional reflection on strategy implementation and content knowledge gaps. When internalized, this naturally leads to a growth mindset. Her favorite moments are when memorized facts transform into deeper, 'aha,' conceptual understandings for a student. As a Knowles Teaching Fellow, Mediha spends her weekdays as a high school science teacher. In her spare time, Mediha enjoys walks in nature, vlogging, and teaching her cat, Pinki, tricks. See more

Erik
MCAT Score: 520
Education: Cornell University, M.Eng in Chemical Engineering, Cornell University, B.A Chemistry
Erik graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cornell University with a major in Chemistry and the College Scholar Program (Applied Biochemistry & Biophysics) and a minor in Biological Sciences. He also completed a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Cornell and is applying to medical school for Fall of 2026. Having experienced the challenges of tackling such a large volume of content for the MCAT, Erik brings a deep understanding of what his students are facing. After experimenting with dozens of study methods, he found that emphasizing critical thinking over rote memorization helped lead him to success. His goal is to help his students find their path with ongoing support beyond tutoring sessions. Erik’s educational background includes a STEM teaching course at Cornell, tutoring peers in subjects from calculus to organic chemistry, and teaching as an EMT course instructor for New York State. In his free time, he serves as the Deputy Fire Chief and EMS Director for a volunteer fire department in Upstate New York. He holds national certifications such as Firefighter I/II, EMT, Fire Officer I/II, and Fire & Emergency Services Instructor I. He looks forward to developing a mentor relationship with his students and being their support system as they prepare for the MCAT. See more

Trevor
MCAT Score: 524
Education: University of California, Santa Barbara, BS Biological Sciences
Trevor has been teaching the MCAT since 2020 and believes that tutoring not only serves the purpose of helping students better understand difficult material, but also provides them with the opportunity to discover how they learn best. He most enjoys being a part of those breakthrough moments when a certain learning approach just seems to click and previously difficult material begins to be understood with ease. Prior to becoming a tutor, Trevor worked as a clinical EMT in the MedSurg/ICU department of a critical access hospital and enjoys spending his free time either grilling, snowboarding, or competitively powerlifting. Peyton
MCAT Score: 522
Education: Rhodes College, BS in Chemistry
Peyton has been tutoring the premedical sciences since 2023, with an emphasis on Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry. For Peyton, teaching is not about memorizing concepts, but being able to understand them and connect all disciplines of science. She hopes to develop students' confidence and critical thinking skills not only on MCAT test day but also throughout their careers as future physicians. Peyton scored a perfect 132 on the Bio/Biochem sections of the MCAT and always reminds students that experimental reasoning skills and focusing on bigger picture concepts can help them achieve a perfect score. She stresses that you do not need to know everything to do well on test day, and focusing on your weaknesses will lead to success. Currently, Peyton is a clinical researcher in the department of transplant surgery at the University of California, San Francisco and volunteers at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Hospital. In her free time, Peyton loves to workout, read, and cook.See more

When looking at medical school admissions requirements, a good MCAT score is one of the most important factors in your medical school application and one of the strongest predictors for acceptance into medical school. And a 515+ score?! Having that high MCAT score on your medical school application can up your acceptance rate into multiple schools and programs, making you a more desirable candidate to medical school admissions committees, and giving you more options!
An MCAT score of 511 or higher will generally place you above the 80th percentile rank, which is where highly competitive scores tend to begin. Medical school applicants with a 510 - 513 MCAT score have a 56% acceptance rate. Achieve a 515 MCAT score or higher and you’re looking at a 68% acceptance rate!
An MCAT score of 500 is considered the average MCAT score, averaging 125 on each of the sections of the test. This score represents the 50th percentile, meaning that half of all test takers score above this, and half score below. Aiming for a higher MCAT score can improve your chances of getting accepted into medical school, especially at more competitive institutions.
The MCAT is scored on a scale of 118 to 132 for each section, with a median score of 125. The four section scores are combined to produce a total score ranging from 472 to 528. This cumulative score offers a well-rounded assessment of an individual’s performance across all areas of the exam. Percentiles are then calculated based on your total score relative to others, indicating your rank among test takers. A higher percentile indicates a stronger performance (i.e. higher score).
The Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills section (or CARS) of the MCAT exam tests and measures the reading comprehension, passage analysis, and reasoning skills needed to be a successful medical school student. In live class sessions, our MCAT 515+ Course instructors will lead you in developing your critical analysis and reasoning skills and the strategies needed to master the CARS section of the MCAT exam. Our focused live classes are designed to minimize your out of class workload, giving you more time to practice putting your skills into action, so you crush the CARS section on test day!
If your diagnostic score is below 500 and you meet all the requirements of the MCAT 515+ Course so you are eligible for the guarantee, we can guarantee you 15 points of improvement off your diagnostic score. That is not to say that a 515 MCAT score is not within reach for you, we are just unable to guarantee this outcome at this time. A 15-point increase is still a massive accomplishment and greatly increases your chances of getting an MCAT score that will get you accepted into medical school!
