Emma’s tutoring style could be best described as loving and encouraging. Her gift is the ability to make complex concepts incredibly simple through the use of analogy, visual mapping and integration with other material that the student does know well. As she has been teaching both USMLE steps since 2002 she knows that one student may need a slightly different explanation than another and at this point in her career she has explained everything at least fifty ways; there will always be the right way to guide each student to his or her "aha!" moment. This is done with humor and clever ways to memorize the parts that do need memorization. She is also adept at discerning the unique learning style of a student and how to match her tutoring to maximize the gain from each session. The biggest lesson she learned in her medical career was that it is OK to not know the answer to a question; it is always OK to look things up or ask someone more experienced, in fact it is better that way! Archit is a patient, compassionate, and energetic tutor who takes pride in helping students go from overwhelmed to in control. With the explosion of information in medical school, learning so much can seem daunting. Archit loves working with students to find a clear path through the mess of preparation materials, study strategies, and noise to reach their best selves.
Archit graduated from Vanderbilt University with a double major in Biomedical Engineering and Biochemistry, where he taught biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry, and physics. Archit goes beyond simply reading back answers and focuses on learning to identify key concepts and building fundamental understanding of the material. He enjoys empowering students to feel in control of their own destiny and teaching them the skills to excel in any academic situation. Archit just completed his third year of medical school and will be taking a year off to do a fellowship at the Institute for Healthcare Delivery Design at the University of Illinois-Chicago. In his free time, he loves to read, watch basketball and football, and train for the Chicago Triathlon this fall.

Our medical tutors go through an extensive vetting and training process to ensure quality tutoring.
